Not only does it save me time and aggravation, I actually find most everything I want/need. I am so glad I started shopping on the internet a few years ago . . .just put things in your cart and click click click DONE!! No crowds, no lines, no traffic . . .

Anyone else do practically all their Xmas Shopping online?

Yes, I sure do. Near Christmas, Amazon has free shipping for orders over $100. With two kids, it's not hard to spend $100 at ToysRUs.com. No crowds to contend with, no sales tax, and no shipping charges, internet shopping is the way to go.

I have done almost all of my Christmas shopping for DD online. Amazon was doing free shipping. Plus, with some of the things I wanted, I got free items for DD also. :)

We do not have Toys R Us around here so that was the main reason I did it. Plus it is SO easy and convenient! :teeth:

I did some on line shopping last year. Most Amazon for those hard to find books.

I'm curious. What are some the sites that you shop from? Give me ideas please :teeth: .

I do most of my shopping at Amazon, but QVC.com has fun stuff that you can't find anywhere else. I just bought my DD a Fairy Fiber Optic Doll. It's basically a Barbie, but she's dressed as a fairy and when she's on her little stand, her dress and necklace light up. It also comes with a magic wand that lights up that was almost just like the $16 one that DD wanted when we went to see Monsters on Ice (it's shorter but it makes that cool magic noise when you wave it). I'll wrap them separately since you don't use them together. Two gifts, $25!

I also find what I like in the stores and then check Yahoo shopping or other sites to see if they have it. Yahoo monitors their vendors pretty closely, so you can be sure that you won't get ripped off. And it's much easier to compare prices when on the net.

JCPenney also has a pretty cool site where you can pick a body type and "try" the clothes on before you buy them. Another great place is ebay. My mom collects Precious Moments and last year I got the whole Nativity scene, with the creche and extra animals for $100 or so. Ebay does their share of monitoring and it arrived in mint condition, as advertised.

One other great thing about internet shopping is that you can ship to a different address. Since we'll be at Grandma's in another state for Christmas morning, I can have everything shipped to her house and wrap it when we get there. Santa's secrets won't be discovered in the van on the way up.

I do most of my Christmas shopping online. It beats the crowds at the malls.

I do most shopping period on line. Amazon is a good place and of course the disney store. Many of these catalogue site have where you can sign up for email notification when they have sales which makes it great. Coldwater creek just had a 50% off everything email sale. Most things that you get a cataloge in the mail for will have a web site. Check out web sites often because they will mark stuff down sooner there.

I do about 85% of my years shopping on line. I even order my dairy products on line! I believe it saves time, money and my nerves!

In addition to the above mentioned, I like lillian vernon, hearthsong, books a million, to name a few.

Happy shopping! :D

I don't do "all" my shopping on-line but I do some shopping on-line. It is easy & I probably spend less since I'm not distracted by other things I see along the way when I'm at the mall but I do like to touch what I buy! I'm the same way with fruits & veggies! Have to touch/squeeze before buying! Shopping on-line doesn't allow that but when I feel it's safe enough not to 'touch' the item, then I'll order on-line! ;)

I just ordered from Disney.com!

Not only do I shop online but at the same time I earn points by shopping through some reward programs such as MyPoints, Creation Rewards, and Memolink. Check out the Reward Board for website addresses and How To's.

To see if where you shop is associated with a reward program try this site $drawer then on the left click on Shop by site name and find the store you're shopping through. For example right now MyPoints has a special with Tupperware. You log into MyPoints then click one of the numerous banners advertising Tupperware and then shop through Tupperware. On the last confirmation page after ordering at the bottom will be a link to click for your 800 pts. Most reward sites do not let you purchase gift certificates but so far with MyPoints and Tupperware you can purchase the egift certificates. Also anyone that uses TracPhone cards can buy them through WalMart and get points at Creation Rewards.

Once you have accumulated several points you can cash out for various gift certificates. Just in the last couple of weeks I've redeemed my MyPoints for an Applebees GC and 2 Shell GCs while DH has redeemed for a $10 Chili's GC and tomorrow he'll redeem for either a $25 Chili's or 2 $10 gas cards. We'll use these on our upcoming vacation. :jumping3:

Another handy site is Current Codes to find free shipping offers and coupons.

We've had years where we did practically all of it on line and at least one year (since on-line shopping was available) where we did none of it on line. This year will probably shape up to be mostly on line.

I start on line and then I go to the stores check prices and then I buy it at the store or sometimes I go back on line and get it. I love doing it this way because I can see what the items looks like and the price it sells for and then go back to the store with my information. So many stores offer % off and free shipping that its a lot cheaper to buy on line. Plus the on line stores will offer freebies that you can't always get in the stores. An example was the game cube. Its the same price at all the stores, but wal-mart.com had a free game with it so for 99.99 I got the game cube, a Tony Hawk game, and then I got a password journal and a bratz doll head and a toy guitar and only paid $7 shipping plus I got mypoints!

I've been internet shopping for years now. Not just for Christmas but year-round. I love the convenience and selection. I know that whatever I want to buy, someone, somewhere on the internet is selling it. Sure beats the heck out of running from store to store looking for specific items. The only time that I venture out during holiday season is when there are in-store specials that cannot be purchased online.

And like Cinders, I shop thru rewards programs in order to get a little something back. My favorites are ebates.com, mypoints.com and creationsrewards.net. And I use my rewards credit card to make the purchase. My Chase-i Mastercard give 1% back in the form of webcertificates. Every little bit helps.

My favorite for online shopping are kbtoys.com (easier exchanges than toysrus.com), jcpenney.com, amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com (free shipping with the purchase of 2 items), bestbuy.com, circuitcity.com (both for free shipping), pacsun.com (skateboarding clothes for DS), Hottopic.com (DD loves the character t-shirts and bags), and sharperimage.com (for nifty gadgets).

I shop early and get it done before Thanksgiving. Everything arrives well ahead of time and I can breathe easily those last few weeks before the big day. I've had relatively few problems, mostly with some dot-bomb companies in the late 90's. I pretty much stick with the larger companies now.

Last year I believe there was only one thing I did not buy on the internet somewhere. In addition to the stores listed I love the Discovery Channel store, they have great bargains on some really cool stuff. Another good place to find links to many stores is www.skymall.com - that is the magazine that is in most airplane seat pockets, they have a ton of stores and some really neat stuff.

I'm an online shopping addict..::yes::..year round. But it's just so fun to get things in the mail!! :hyper:

For all of you that buy a lot of DVDs for yourself or for gifts, check out DeepDiscountDVD.com They are almost always the cheapest price on the net and they offer FREE shipping on any order. It is the only place I order DVDs from (besides Ebay for new releases) because they beat all the other's prices, especially Amazon.com.

Some of my other favorite shopping sites are ebay, jcpenney.com, delias.com, ae.com, shopirish.com, redenvelope.com, ecost.com, drugstore.com, oldnavy.com, kohls.com, current.com.......

Deal Hunting is also a great site to get FREE shipping and money off codes.

i love shopping online year round. while i like going to actual stores too, i just don't have a lot of time since i am working full-time and going to grad school.

i'm almost done with my xmas shopping thanks to my computer. ::yes::

sparKelly thanks for the DeepDiscountDVD site. I went and ordered some for christmas.

I've done almost all of it online in years past.

But I noticed that after I did that, I started getting flooded with SPAM ads, including those infamous "enlarge your p---s" messages

So now I am not so eager to try that again. It seems that once merchants obtain your e-mail, the SPAM starts propagating like crazy. For a while, everytime I opened up my e-mail, I would have 5 to 6 SPAM ads that I would always 'unsuscribe', but they kept coming
