Xmas parade taping and regular parade time?

I know they are taping the Xmas parade Dec 1-2-3. Will they show the normal parade as well at the regular time at 3:00? this may be our only day to see it.

I also read that they had it late on the Sunday of the taping, 5:00. Does any one have info on that?

While they are taping they won't be doing the regular 3 O'clock parade. They usually do one when they are finished taping.

do you mean finished taping for the day? that may have been what I read before that the parade was at 5:00 that particular Sunday. I don't recall seeing anything about Sat though. We have 5:00 CM ADR on Sat but could make a 5:00 parade on Sunday since we planned for CS meals that night. I could possibly switch the nights if I knew for sure one way or the other.

those 3:00 parades really mess with nap time!

I believe that the parade taping is done on Sat, unless there is really bad weather in which case they will tape on Sun. Can't remember when the 3:00 parade was last year on the taping Sat.
As far as getting involved, I found out about it last year on the AP site, seems there is something coming to the DVC site this year. I did the taping stuff on Friday morning...won't be doing that again. Way too hard on my old bones, standing in one place trying to look cheery for 30 secs every 25 minutes or so, for 3 hrs!!! We were put in front of the Castle for the shows there.
On Sat they use prevouchered people (same as on Friday) for the parade viewers. The people they allowed to take part had to sign up beforehand and report to a particular gate area first thing in the morning, then you are sent to a particular spot, where you'll be for the duration.
