Do the parks do anything for the christmas season?

Yes...at the Studios there is the Macy's Christmas parade daily and at IOA there is Grinchmas. There isn't much information yet but here's a link to the website:

Most of the holiday festivities...including the concert series begin the first Saturday of December.
