Hi:

Can anyone who has been to wdw in the week or two before the American Thanksgiving holiday tell me if the decorations are up that soon?

Thanks,

Deb.

I do not think that the Christmas decorations are up that early. My wife and I have been the week after Thanksgiving and the decorations are up. That is a good time to go, because the crowds from Thanksgiving are gone and they parks are not crowded.

Hope that helps some.

Hi:

I have the first week of dec. booked. But after I booked that week I started hearing that the weather could be quite cool. I am looking for 65 to 75 degree days. So I started thinking maybe I should back it up to mid nov. I guess it will be hit and miss for weather.

Thanks,

Deb.

The weather that time of year is quite nice. The highs are usually in the low to mid 70's at night though you are correct you will need a jacket, because it will get a little on the cool side. I think you will be pleased with the week you booked.

My family arrived on Nov.23 for Thanksgiving and the Xmas decorations where up. We stayed at BWV and really enjoyed seeing all the xmas decorations all over the parks. All the parks look great!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Shells:

Thanks for the schedule. We only get to go to wdw/florida about every 4 to 5 years so I would like to once again to see wdw with christmas decorations.

I can't believe they decorate the tree of life. What a blast. You must have a crew that just works on the decorations.

I have to say that all you folks from florida are sure lucky to be living in such a pretty and warm state. I just love florida and can't get enough of it. lol.

Hi CPM: Here in our malls, they start with the christmas decorations about the same time, early november.

Thanks for your replies,

Deb.

Yes, I realize that, here too. We were at teh mall on Oct 31st and they were putting the trees up in JCP. My six year old said to the cashier "You people are confusing me, isn't it Halloween?" We cracked up! I just think they start earlier and earlier and I'm not liking it. I know at Disney they never used to start that early, usually right before Thanksgiving. We were married at the YC Nov. 6th and there weren't any Christmas decorations back then Thank God!! You know it would be nicer if they left them up longer rather then putting them up the day after Halloween. <G>

Yes, and now its all over. I guess the malls are waiting to get the next holiday going, lol, I guess it is valentines day

You were lucky to be married at wdw. That would have been my dream honeymoon. My first time at wdw/florida was when I was 35, and I have been hooked ever since.

Have a great day.

Deb.

LOL My husband's first trip to WDW was when we got engaged there! He was 33 at the time. I guess it made quite an impact on him since he wanted to get maried there!
And yes, I consider myself one very lucky girl! Thanks.
