Did anyone get a XBox 360 yesterday? The prices on Ebay are crazy. My son wanted one but I didnt get one. I preordered one in July from GameStop but because of small number of Xbox's shipped to each store we didnt get called yet. I hope microsoft ships more quickly. I think its horrible how people bought one just to sell for large amounts on Ebay. This adds to the problem. We are number 148 at Gamestop. Do you think we will get it before Christmas

What IS an Xbox 360? (I really have no fartin' clue.)

Its a game system like Playstation 2 or Gamecube. I just heard on the news that they held up some guy to take his XBox 360 from him. That is crazy. I tried to tell my son that if he doesnt get it for Christmas that he will get it shortly after Christmas. He is saying ok but I think he will be really upset on Christmas morning because he doesnt want anything else except the CSI game and games for the Xbox.

Just be prepared for it to have problems shortly after Christmas (or before if it isn't a gift). I have met some of the engineers who worked on the project and the 360's were shipped before all the bugs were worked out. The biggest problem being processor heat.

ebay was nuts last night. I just scanned the completed auctions and there were a couple that went for over $2,000. $400 wouldn't be too bad because the normal retail price is $400.

You can see alot of "fake" auctions out there on EBAY. It looks like a real unit but then when you read the details you see they are selling a promise to ship once they get one or they are selling just the box or something.

Anybody bidding -- be very very careful. Check the history of the seller and read every word about 4 times.

There are also a lot of bidders with zero history bidding ridiculous amounts.
Anybody selling, I'd restrict the auction to bidders with a minimum feedback score of whatever you decide......
