So who else is going to stand on the Walmart line tonight at misnight? My son saved up enough money and wants one but we missed the pre-order. So I will go to Walmart tonight, not sure how early I have to line up. (Anyone know) I will pretend I'm on line for my favorite disney ride. TOT. and hopefully the time will pass quickly and I will get one. Wish me luck!

My DS15 is going right after school with a friend of his. He has his money saved up - sold all of his regular xbox games that he doesn't play on Ebay so he could afford it. I'm not sure I'd be willing to stand in line for hours for it :confused3

Me, FMIL, and my mom are paying for my fiance's, but the deal was that he had to stand in line for it. And yes, he's taking the day off tomorrow so he can get it. This is another instance where they need a 'banging head against the wall' smiley.

DH wants to go stand in line for it tonight too. I keep telling him he needs to get there pretty early if he wants one but he doesn't think he needs to get there so early.

How early are you guys getting to the store?

If he doesn't get one tonight, he expects me to go wait in line tomorrow at a store that opens in the AM. I don't think so!!

FYI... I just called our local Walmart, Best Buy and Toys R Us. NONE are opening at Midnight!!! Walmart said they are opening at 7:00a as usual. Toys R Us said they will open at 9:00a and Best Buy was also 9:00a so my poor DH will miss out because he won't take a day off for a slim chance at one!!

Not us. Can't imagine our old tv's would X360 justice.

I'm going to wait for Playstation 3.

I second this thought. More games, more support and you won't have to pay to play online!

We will probably wait for the Playstation 3. We already have X-Box and would like a bit more variety.

But honestly, I wish I had never brought ANY of it into my house. I control my son's viewing--he only plays on the weekends, but it's a CONSTANT nag from him to play. And if I let him, he'd play for hours.

4 PM :faint: I don't think I'd be willing to stand in line that long.

I know that feeling. My 15yo finally learned how to balance it more -- but my 12 year old can be a nightmare. I made a mistake two weeks ago of letting him get some Gamecube games from Blockbuster and keep them during the week. 2 missed homework reports and a kid that was so grouchy and whiney by Friday morning that I could barely stand to be in the room with him. That was a big mistake.

Now an XBox 360 though - I saw one of these in the game store last week hooked up to a Flat Screen tv. Man o Man if I could get one and keep it in MY bedroom! :cool1:

The next question would be, if you don't get one, will you overpay for one on ebay?

I wonder how many people are going to stand in line, and then post it on ebay as soon as they get it.

I for one would wait, I can't stand it when people buy these just to put them up on ebay.

So far from what I can see Ebay Xbox's aren't selling for much over cost. I think people are too afraid they won't get it in time. My DH refused to buy from Ebay for that very reason.

Maybe once it's released and all stores sell out then those on Ebay will go for more...but not yet.

I agree it stinks that people buy them up just to sell them on Ebay but it's always going to happen, unfortunately.

I know Walmart is only allowing one per person.

I think it's a bit unfair for Walmart to allow only one per person. I think it's great that they are limiting things, however I think the limit should be 2 maybe even 3.

I say this because some people have college aged children, or "broken" families where they may want to give one to a child and keep one for themselves or they have 2 college aged kids and they want to purchase each on and now they cannot because of the limit.

Is it really only one per person?

Well, that is what my local Walmart is doing.

If the lines are going to be that long, I would assume most people will be bringing a friend or family member with them to stand in line and keep them company. So they would be able to get two, one for each person.

I think we're going to wait until they are no longer sold in bundles. It will be our first big purchase together since he will be moving in soon. :)

I called Walmart and they are opening at midnight and they only have 8 x boxes. i guess i better go line up now. :rotfl: Do you think they are selling them on the internet?
