My 23 year old little brother wants an Xbox 360 for Christmas...just announced this today. I'm thinking I could get him one if they're not crazy expensive. He's got some games from his college days, so I just need the unit. Does anyone have the best price for Black Friday or otherwise for just the basic model? (What is the difference in models- just storage?) I appreciate it. I'm cooking today and tomorrow, so I'm not sure ill have time to do any decent research, so I would be grateful for help! Thanks!

Most of BF deals are for the 4GB w/Kinect or 250GB. The 250 GB comes with two M games and a card for online access and the Kinect comes with some family friendly games. The big difference is storage (needeed for online game playing) vs Kinect. Given your brother's age and the likelihood he's more interested in RPG over active games I'd go for storage which is what you want for online access. Best Buy has the 250 GB on sale BF for $199. Last year they had the deal online as well as in store. I'd Check online tomorrow starting at midnight as you may be able to save yourself a trip to the store 'cause Best Buy is always nuts on BF. If you think he wants the Kinect Target has it for $199. I'm not sure who else has it as I was only really looking at it for a friend and she's not interested in shopping anywhere but online.

Neesy, check this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3022736

I plan on trying to snag the $199 price on the 250MB model from Best Buy, which I'm hoping will be available online with free shipping. They basically come in two different memory sizes: 4 MB and 250 MB...no in between (which strikes me weird...but whatever) and it seems like the price point is the same for either the 250 without the Kinect or 4 with the Kinect.

Cheers!

If you check the BF ad on the Best Buy Website is says "Free Shipping on everything at BestBuy.com." There are some exclusions, so check the ad but I think you might be able to get free shipping.

The $199 bundle (250GB with 2 games, controller, headset) is available today on Best Buy's website. I ordered this the other day for $249....on the phone now looking for my price match! :cool1:

Yep, free shipping :) tax was added, though. So, yay, I'm all set!
