X-Box - Anyone planning on camping out?

This new x-box game/system is coming out in the morning. Our local Kmart only has four, Game stop is only selling some to people who reserved in May or something, samething for Bestbuy - I think they will start selling at 12:01 am and Toys R' S has 50 and 50 (50 of the $299 version and 50 of the $399 version - see I don't even know what they are called and will start giving tickets in the morning to the first 100 people -they open at 9 am.

Is this the same scenario in your area? Do you or someone in your family plan on camping out tonite? I was never one to wait a few hours on line for anything and still refuse to do so. My son, on the other hand, really wants this and is planning on staying out all night. Every year it's something new/different and a month later their is an abdunance of whatever the hot product for the season is. Now I need to worry about him all night.

We went to Mejier and they have 8 (4 and 4) the men there have been there all day.

Best Buy will not sell them till 9 am tomorrow and there are people out with tents to spend the night. It is really cold here too!

We did see the display at Best Buy (it was up and running) and the games do look much better then on DH's xbox.

DH is now has gotten the itch to get one...

My son just called. He is second on line and this was before 7 pm. it is cold and rainning here too. I wish my son had some patience and did not plan on spending the evening and night out there.

My DH wants one but not desperately.

I went and checked things out for him today. A Super Walmart that was selling them at Midnight had a line of 40 people at 5:00p!!!

Then on the way home, I check my local nearby Walmart that will sell them at 7:00a and they had a sign that said they only had 4 premium and 10 core.

Then also on the way home I stopped to get gas at BJs and they had 5 I could see through the locked up area they keep them in. The customer service lady said they'll sell them at 9:00a when they open.

It's going to be tough to get them unless your a young, determined teen who is willing to wait in a long line for 7 or more hours!!!

DH should have pre-ordered back in August! Oh well. It will die down eventually.

DH is having me look up telephone numbers of all the stores around here to try to find the shortest line....We have one Walmart that only has 8 people but they will not tell us how many they have.

OP don't worry about your son! I am sure the local news will be on the story

Okay - called my son twice. He just called again, would like some dry boots and socks - has been rainning non-stop all night. We brought him and the people on line some fresh coffee too. He told me more people are starting to come - but they only have 10. I believe they are giving out tickets to the first 10 people at 6 am and then they can purchase it at 9 am when they open. I doubt if my son will leave. He waited this long, he will surely wait another three hours.

I had preordered mine on costco.com months ago and they called last night to say that it was being mailed today minus one of the games. That game wasn't released yet and they would mail it next week. Just glad I didn't have to wait in the rain.....

My husband left at 5:50 this morning and went to Bj's. He was number 4 in line and was lucky enough to get it at 8am. That's pretty good considering people have been lined up at stores since 2pm yesterday!

A BJ's emplyee first said they had ten, then she came out and said they only had nine, then it was 6 so I guess employees were buying them before the store opened. Good luck to everyone!!!!
