Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa

Sarah,

Welcome back and thanks for the quick update! I look forward to your trip report soon!

Just back from a weekend trip to WP. We had an Island Resort Suite which was great. Fridge and microwave, lots of room, tub and separate shower, separate half bath, 2 queens, 2 tvs, 2 balconies, full bed sofa sleeper, rec'd Wyndham By Request welcome amenities- big chocolate chip cookies, ice bucket with diet soda and water.
A couple of hiccups were that the valet/bellmen overlooked us at checkin and helped people behind us in line first. When I questioned them they said that you need to ask for service which was bull because they approached and opened the door to the cute blonde in the Lexus behind us. The hotel is also showing some of its 22 year age in places. The pool was a little too crowded. The room only had 4 bath towels. No hand towels or wash clothes. Housekeeping bought them fairly promptly.
The shining moments were the spa treatments (hot stones, swedish and shiatsu) and the romantic dinner at Arthur's 27. Dinner for 2 will set you back $150-$170 but it is worth it for a special occasion. I would recommend the lobster bisque, filet mignon, and/or the buffalo. We were given a special table since we were celebrating our anniversary and the view was spectacular. We went at sunset and the 5 course dinner lasted almost 2 hours.
I would stay at WP again but would use Priceline and not exceed $90/night.
