Just got back! First off, I think the hotel is beautiful and not outdated at all! Just thought I'd point out some stuff I haven't seen mentioned too much before! First off- the Pool! There are actually 3 pools..sort of all next to each other. The first is a kids pool that is 18" deep or 1/2 Meter. It's approx. 12X8 ft. and is in the shape of a semicircle. There is a ledge that goes all the way around it that is only about 6" under the water where you can sit down. Then, about 10 feet from there is another pool. There are stairs that go to about 3.5 feet of water. It gets deeper and forks out. To the right is deeper water and to the left is a water fall. Once you go under the waterfall, there is the covered area of the pool. I found this especially nice sense I have no interest in getting tan or burnt for that matter! There is also a snack bar right next to the pool where you can order food and drinks (including alchohol). Also, there were way too many skinny woman at this pool. I couldn't beleive it! Momma's in bikinis that looked good. I know there is hope now
There is another pool close by that I didn't go to but it looked like a more adults pool. They have daily events at this pool also like limbo and raft races. These seem to occur around 3pm. The pool is open 24 hours.
Another thing I'd like to mention is that the "Epcot/WDW " view is also a view of the parking lot. If you look straight down you'll see the parking lot and in the way off distance you can see Spaceship Earth. I wouldn't really recomend this view unless you plan to spend some nights around Illusions time in your room. We were out in the parks so never saw it from our room. I think I would of much prefered a pool or DD view. Just my opinion though! BTW- we were on the 21st floor in room 2140.
We also did Wyndham By Request. We received a small bottle of wine a bottled water, and honey roasted peanuts. (I'd actually requested fruit but the peanuts were fine!)
Also, BEWARE OF YOUR BILL, I actually had 2 reservations right in a row..one through Wyndham Internet and one through priceline. The first one was for online because we decided to add a day at last minute. We got a promotional rate of $109 online but they billed $139. I had to show them a copy of the online receipt in order for them to change this. They also tried to put a $180 "hold" on my CC but I used my American Express Debit Card that I only funded $150 to. I'm glad I didn't use my regular bank debit card. There billing is totally screwy. We did valet parking and they only charged for 1 night. AND didn't charge us for the resort fee on our 2nd reservation but did on our first!
Lastly, don't kid yourself and think you can do without valet parking if you are going to use your car for going to the parks. It is a long way away. You WILL be too tired. It was definately worth it for us..ESPECIALLY if you have kids. Besides, they only charged us for 1 day and may mess up your billing too
(Valet parking is $10/day)
Hope this all made sense! Any Questions?!!!!!!!
