We are thinking of staying at the new Wyndham Grand.
Is this a good choice?
How is the bus transportation? Do they have a shuttle to DTD?
We won't have a car. We are also considering CSR or POFQ, but we can get concierge level at the Wyndham for 133 a night.

Any advice or info.?

It doesn't open until October, so there isn't much known about it. I would assume it shares the timeshare side's bus service. It does go to DTD.

However, if I were definitely not going to have a car, I would probably stay at either a Disney-owned resort, or the Swan or Dolphin.

As Brian mentioned, the hotel hasn't opened yet, so we don't have a lot of details currently.

The Existing Time Share runs a scheduled shuttle to the parks. It is assumed that the Hotel guests will also be able to utilize this service. There is however some question on if the addition of a regular payed hotel may end up resulting in an increase of the shuttle service into a more regular "every 20min' sorta deal vs. the current schedule that tends to have a break in the afternoon.

For Timeshare guests there, often the preference is to have a car because of the additional freedom and the fact that the existing shuttle service does have some quirks (like the afternoon slowdown). If however you are someone who is planning on being out of the place first thing in the morning and not returning to the hotel/resort until late in the evening, It could be doable. Once you are dropped off at one of the parks or DTD, you can always utilize the Disney Transportation to get around the Disney Resort.

The Bonnett Creek resort area also isn't too far away from DTD or the Boardwalk areas, so if you do enjoy a late night out after the shuttle is no longer running or convenient, a taxi from DTD/Boardwalk shouldn't be too expensive and it may still end up ultimately less expensive than renting a car or staying onsite.

We are thinking of staying at the new Wyndham Grand. It is just hubby and I and we are just going one day to the Food and Wine Fest and one day at the pool and then DTD.

Taxi is the way to go to downtown disney or the boardwalk area/beach club/ international gateway area. You can take a taxi to/from the Beach club from bonnet creek and then enter and exit through the international gateway and be perfectly placed to attend F&W.

I am interested in where you are booking to get the concierge at the Wyndham for $133/night. Sounds like an excellent deal. Is it an opening special?

I found that pricing on their website just now using some random dates in October. I'm not sure if the OP saw it here or elsewhere.
