Booked WBC again for this August. After staying there last year we have decided to go back. Price and location is hard to beat.
Not been a thread about WBC for a while so though I would post and give a little info incase anyone is wanting onsite but can't afford Disney prices.

This is a great thread for info http://www.disboards.com/threads/the-we-loooooove-bonnet-creek-thread-part-4.3366139/

We have used Ken & Denise for the first time at http://www.vacationupgrades.com/ (Highly recommended by many incl Portugal1000)

I emailed them 61 days out from our stay as they offer best prices within 60 days if still available. Got a reply from them following day with confirmation of availability and price as stated on their site with no fees or taxes. So far can't fault their service.

I booked a 2 bed deluxe, worked out at just over £80/nt. Same room booked direct with WBC was over £170/nt. and similar room at OKW = £523/nt

those prices are great , we have had a look at those rooms too and so much bigger than what you get at disney

Great price well done. I think I will have to get over on site preference and take a look at this for that kind of price. OKW one bed had cost me £4,750 for 15 nights in August this year. Now that is tickets and 'free' dining for four Disney adults but still........ I wonder if they would let us have a look at this resort on our next trip? I always get confused about which resort exactly this is when I look at it. There seems to be two and I'm never sure which is which. What dates are you there?

WBC is 1, 2 or 3 bed apartments

The other 2 are hotel rooms

They do timeshare presentations but not something I would do in holiday time.

We check in 15th Aug then leave for Port Canaveral on the 21st.

Wayneg- what do you reckon the chances would be at 60 days out over new year or easter

I doubt they have to discount much for peak times of year but you could email Ken and Denise and ask their thoughts.

As Wayne said, I recommend Bonnet Creek 100% and wouldn't deal with anyone except Ken and Denise. Fantastic service every single time I stayed there. Never can work out why this place not caught on with the English although it's quite nice in a way because every time you speak to anyone they are so happy to talk about England. The year Prince George was born we arrived the same day and for three weeks we were asked about him nearly every day. Everyone so friendly and easy to strike up a conversation by the pool.
The resort is great, can't beat the pools and you can walk to them all no matter where your room is. The rooms are huge. Just don't understand why people pay up to three or four times the price to stay in one room at one of the Disney Deluxe hotels. We love SSR but just can't imagine staying there again because if the price difference. We also enjoy the various entertainment on offer. I will try and dig out a schedule, have it somewhere.
I'll be at Bonnet Creek exactly seven weeks today. Yay!

This looks really interesting we use our DVC for 2 of our weeks but stay off sight the first week.so for next april we would be looking at middle of February to get the 60 days out mmmm:surfweb:

I've looked at Easter before, though not specifically with the site that Wayne mentions - pickings are slim, even months in advance. Sorry...

Thanks for the links. We will wave if we see you :) We leave on the 18th. Had to go early this year as its GCSE results on August 20th. I wanted my son to be able to collect his results with his mates. That put 1.5k on the holiday price though so he'd best come back with good news ....... ;)

We rang from OKW for GCSE results. Came back early for Alevel results. Tomorrow Matt gets his Degree grade (can't believe its 5 years since his GCSE results) he was on course to get a 1st until his final 4 exams, unfortunately one of the exams wasn't good so he is hoping he did enough to get a 1st.
Hope your Son gets what he wants, what are his plans?
I think someone should have arranged a DIS meet this year, lots of us out there.

Last year our youngest daughter got her results out there by text and email (not sure if only scotland do this) at a big family reunion in a villa so pressure was on- lol - but luckily she got A's and even got into uni a year early - she then deferred a year so had a final year at school with nothing to get - did some advanced maths and chem to help with 1st year uni and crashed a music higher as she enjoys this. She also volunteered two mornings a week at a primary school (wants to be a maths teacher so trying out working with kids). Not sure how she will do this year as my best description would be she took her foot off the gas, but hey she is in to glasgow uni anyway and starts in sept.

My eldest just finished doing a masters degree, at glasgow uni, in civil engineering and got her results 2:1 while touring eu with friends- Her graduation is next week and I cannot wait - we are so proud of her as she has had a lot of health issues to fight through but never gives in (even opted to do the extra year to get a masters instead of leaving last year with her hons degree) - In fact she even persuaded hospital to let her out for a day this year to go sit an exam. And when admitted another time got notes faxed to the hospital to learn ahead of an up and coming tutorial. She is very very driven and during this year also got the job she wanted and persuaded the bank to give her a mortgage ahead of starting her job in sept to buy her 1st flat - she got the keys last week.

Heres the link to the Activities Guide at Wyndham Bonnet Creek

You can also join in activities at the Wyndham Grand, all part of the same resort. You can literally walk around the whole lake. We do that alot and pool hop on the way!
We walked around the lake once last year, got drenched, we hadn't been outside more than a few minutes when the heavens opened, we got so wet we just decided to continue round soaked thru.

Good luck to Matt for tomorrow can't believe he's finished uni already!

On the Dis meet you mentioned it - you can organise it :thumbsup2

We will be waiting for a message at 3pm, I can't see Matt getting much sleep tonight.

Well to be fair to my lad he was happy to receive his results on holiday but he has a really close friendship group and I felt guilty about denying him that 'moment'. No idea what he wants to do, nor has he. He wants to be happy. There are worse aspirations I guess! I hope Matt achieves what he clearly deserves. I've read his work. He's talented. 25 years ago I collected my undergraduate degree results and got a 2.1. I was 1% off a First. I know how he is feeling (really, this post has brought those latent 25 year old emotions back!) but whatever happens he will be fine. (Eventually! I was cross for a while...) I am more than happy to arrange a meet if that is enough interest. Anyone available 16th or 17th August????

Matt got a First :)

We arrive 15th so should be able to work around 16th or 17th.

Matt got a First :)

That is THE most wonderful news :yay:. Absolutely delighted and I am sure it was very well deserved!

I'll be cruising around the Med whilst you are soaking up the Florida rays. Wyndham Bonnet Creek sounds like a bargain compared with Disney's on site prices :)
