We are staying Bonnet Creek May 16 - 24 Was wondering is there any certain building or room I should request? Which would be better to be away from noise of construction etc. Any advice would be appreciated. Also we usually stay at Cypress Pointe and love its location. Was wondering is Bonnet Creek close to DTD? Many Thanks:)

BC is close to EPCOT! - it is over besides CBR and Pop.

so yes it is kinda close to DD - but really, really close to Epcot and Studios.

staying there in Sept - going to ask for water view and firework view. although some of the firework view are parking lot. a few have both water and firework.

We are going during the same time frame. If it is next to CB, then it indeed is close to Epcot and the studios.

The owner we are renting from likes building 3. I saw at least one other recent visitor who liked being in the main building since it is close to the main pool and lazy river.

Sorry, I bought Wyndham three years ago, but haven't managed to stay there yet. This summer...

We are owners at BC and will be there May 15-24! From our past experiences, we have never had an issue with noise from construction. We have stayed in buildings 3,4, and 5. We've had different views in each building and have enjoyed them all, although we have never requested a specific view (this reminds me to call tomorrow to find out about that!)

When we were in building 3, we had a parking lot view. Not the greatest when sitting on the balcony, but we liked the proximity to the pool bar! We had a water view from building 4, which I LOVED. In building 5, we had a fireworks view which also overlooked the parking garage. That view was nice, too, since we could see both Illuminations and Wishes from the balcony. We also had a very clear view of DTD. Bonnet Creek is definitely close to DTD.

I think we're going to try to request a water view in building 3 for our upcoming trip. I'm not sure if we will be able to see fireworks or not from that location. I suppose it may depend on what floor we are on.

I am helping a friend plan her first trip to WDW....Oh my its a blast to plan, even if its not for me this time! She has decided to stay at Bonnet Creek (her parents have a time share), she doesn't want to get a rental car (although is willing to consider it) and wants to use the hotel shuttle service, I am a stay on property AND have a car kind of gal, but I want to respect her choices...

My question is can someone who is going soon or has been recently tell us how the buses run...I know they are every half hour...but does that mean to every park every half hour? and is there a bus to each park? or do you have other stops when you leave BC? (one bus for Epcot, one for MK, one for AK, one for DHS?) Does the bus stop at other hotels? How late does the bus run? Do you have to sign up for the bus ahead of time? What is the travel time from leaving hotel room and arriving at the park entrance on foot? Is a taxi affordable?

She is going in Oct and has three children 12, 10, and 7...lets not forget DH!

Hi Brain Noble...Ann Arbor is in my stomping grounds!:cool1:

We had building 5 during Christmas and had an excellent view of both of the fireworks show, and, as you said, could see DTD very easily.

I've wondered whether building 4 would have as good fireworks views without the parking garage.

Is building 5 the 15 floor tower or is that building 4 that is the 15 floor tower? Obviously we stayed in the 15 floor tower which when overlooking the parking lot had a fantastic view of EPCOT if you were on that side of the building. All the literature we got labeled the building with a name and I think #1205, but no building number like 3, 4, 5. It was the building directly to the left of the main checkin building as you are arriving.

The building directly to the left would have been building 4. We were on the 10th floor of building 5, and there were floors above us (not sure how many though).

Oh funny! We were also on floor 10. There were a total of 15 floors. We had a lakeview room unfortunately, so we stood by the elevator windows to watch the fireworks! I'd rather have had the parking lot view with that ball in the distance!

I believe that building 5 does have 15 floors. We were on the top floor when we were there, and 15 seems about right.

When we were there in March the buses ran every 30 minutes in the mornings. No buses running from around 2-4, but then back on schedule again every 30 minutes to an hour. They will give you a printed schedule at check in and my husband who is a control freak driver loves and trusts their shuttle schedule. Although they do ususally do Magic Kingdom/EPCOT together, and the Animal Kingdom/Hollywood Studios together, plus the downtown disney bus route. We found them to be very reliable but be aware that the times printed on those schedules are departure times so be in place at the right time.

We love the convenience because Bonnet Creek is so close to everything they will have you back at your resort in a matter of minutes.

Enjoy! Bonnet Creek is a lovely resort and we will be there in 3 weeks as well.
