Wyndham at Lake Buena Vista - Tips/Tricks

Hi everyone!
My family is planning a trip to Disney World this summer. We go often, but this will be our first time staying "off property" as prices were much cheaper. I know that this hotel is still affiliated with Disney World, but I don't know much about the in and outs. Any tips, tricks, or secrets would be extremely appreciated! Looking for ideas about transportation to/from parks, what My Disney Experience "perks" there are, etc.
