has anyone stayed here? I got a good deal on priceline but did not think it would be so far away. Anyone know how far to the port? I hope it is a nice place. . Ann

I won 4 nights at a Wydham from work. I booked this Hotel after our cruise next week to stay for 2 nights and we are going to Universal. I only saw it on the internet and it looked nice enough of us. If this helps, they told us to extend on this "special" deal would be $89 per night. You can e-mail me in 3 weeks and then we will be back:mad: and I will know for sure.

you will die when you hear what I got it for on priceline....
30.00 a night! plus about ten dollars in fees and taxes and I was told another four dollars in resort fees. I heard it was a beautiful place, DH is still not pleased that it is farther away from the port- but it sure looks nice..
Has anyone stayed there?

Great price, I just felt lucky to get it for free!! I would like to hear from anyone who has stayed there as well

Disneylover5 I could not find your email but pm'd you mine would love to hear how it ends up. Ps if you sign up for Whyndam rewards (sp) on their website you get extra perks like your room the way you want etc... (extra pillows and such)

Ann Morin, Disney Lover5...Go over to the "Orlando Hotels" on the DISboards. I'm SURE you'll find it there. Put in a search if you don't see it on the first few pages.

The Wyndham Orlando Resort at 8001 International Drive is the former Orlando Marriott International Drive. Wyndham took over management in 1999. At that time, Wyndham announced a $36 million capital improvement project.

We stayed this hotel around a dozen years ago. It was quite different than a typical Marriott. It wasn't a typical, mid-rise Marriott. It was large complex on spacious, landscaped grounds. I'm sure it's still a very nice place.

It is right on the corner of Sand Lake Road and I drive (parallel to the Bee Line). Just take Sand Lake and follow the signs to the BeeLine and then to the port. Probably and extra 15 min or so than from the airport. Very easy to get to. It has multiple buildings spread out all over the property - all 2-3 stories high. When it was the Marriott, it was one of the better properties on I-Drive.

Any idea on how much farther this will be to the port than the MCO Amerisuites we stayed in last year? I was figuring about an additional half hour?

Mjasp-thanks for the orlando hotels board idea-heading over there next!

I'd say it's about 15-20 minutes from the airport.

I stay in Wyndhams quite often - in fact, as often as I can. The one in Boston is marvelous. And the By request program is super; you'll not only get the room made up the way you like, but also a "welcome" beverage & amenity (I get a small bottle of wine, spring water & fresh fruit). Make sure you call the hotel directly to give them your number bc if you booked thru Priceline or Hotwire, they won't guarantee your benefits, but mostly the Front Desk will be accomodating.
