We live in AZ and have friends from CT who are looking to make a trip next April to AZ and CA. They have 2 boys that would love CarsLand and a couple days at DLR are in their plans. We are going to head out to have fun with them and hopefully book VGC. It would take a chunk of points for either 2 studios or a 2BR for 2 nights, but these are some of our best friends and early entry in April would be a nice perk. Problem is they plan on scheduling actual days around baseball games and the schedule doesn't come out until fall.

Actual question: if I am lucky enough to get 2 nights in a 2BR in April at 7 months, and the days I guess don't work for their schedule, am I able to rent that reservation out to someone? I would be borrowing pts to do it and I don't think I have a need to use them during that use year otherwise. We will have AP, so I could use them, but thinking if the dates I pick mid week don't work - I could rent it out and use the $ for hotel rooms in the days that do work?

You could rent out the reservation, but another option would be to just rent the points, it would give you a broader market of potential renters.
