DD started 9th grade today & is in Pre-AP Humanities. The last day of school (5/19)- same building as we have an 8/9 school - all pre-sp kids were given a summer reading list w/ 2 books they must read & reports following certain forms due 1st day of school.
After our trip I was looking at the school dist. website as the info on registration was conflicting and there was a note w/ a different reading list - they changed it w/o notifying - 1 less book.
Today she gets to humanities & they "forgot" that the teacher she was assigned to moved - no teacher. They called in 2 "temporary teachers" to take over. Neither of these 2 or 4 other Pre-AP humanities teachers knew a thing about the reading or reports they were to turn in today. The Pre-AP humanities teachers whose rooms were downstairs knew & their kids are getting grades for the work.
WWYD??? I'm afraid she won't get what she needs from this class. They were given a writing assignment with ambiguous directions which the 'teachers' couldn't explain & ended up telling the kids they didn't know what it meant, "just do it".
