WWYD? MK reservation conundrum

I have reservations for DLR on our MK for March 8-11 for 4 days. I booked the Saturday of Memorial day weekend today and will book the Sunday tomorrow. We also need the Monday and Tuesday of Memorial day weekend as well. I am either going to wait until we scan in on Saturday, March 8 to book the Monday of Memorial day weekend but am nervous it will be gone by then. I thought maybe I'd cancel Tuesday the 11th of March and risk booking that one when we scan in on March 8th. I absolutely know I'm overthinking this but we are going with a family who has the reservations set for memorial day weekend already, they go like every three years so those reservations are very important to us. I appreciate any insight from people who know way more about MKs than I do.

The only MK that can go on Saturday, May 24 is Inspire. Believe & Inspire can go on Sunday, May 25. Enchant, Believe & Inspire can go on Monday, May 26. All four MK can go on Tuesday, May 27. May 27-29 are the last days that Imagine can visit the parks before their long summer block out.

If it were me I would book Monday before Sunday before Saturday before Tuesday. Keep watching and if suddenly one park isn't available on one of your days, you might want to move a reservation to the park that is still available.

Thanks. We aren't going between our March trip and the may trip so I'll have enough to book. Think memorial Day weekend will book up right when it opens? I have the Saturday already booked. I have the Inspire key so I'm okay with having the Saturday available.

It won't book right away, but keep your eyes on that Monday. If one park fills, before March 8, you might want to move your Saturday reservation to the park that is still open on Monday. That way at least you know that you can go and park hop on that day.

Will you be staying on site or off site? On site hotels have a separate bucket of reservations. If worse comes to worse, you might be able to draw on that.

Also, remember you can book the next Reservation as soon as you check into a Park. I've seen people check in, walk 10 steps and stop to quickly book the next Reservation on their Key. As you know, a lot of times reservations will turn up in the evening as people cancel their Reservation for the next day BUT final days before a lot of passes are blocked out are Very popular.

I've gone with friends/family and purchased a ticket for the days I was not sure I'd get with my Magic Key, then if able to use my key, I would have the "credit" for those unused tickets to use in the future. Just be sure you've all picked a park so you don't have to buy a Hopper. It is actually not bad to know you have a credit coming for a date you'll be blocked (for sure) another time. It is my understanding the credit never expires in California (you'd simply pay any ticket price increase).

Last, when do your passes expire? I've known people to get a "new" pass so they could have reservations booked on the old and new passes at the same time (but of course, both passes are running their time out). You could research to see if that still works?

That is such a good idea to just buy a ticket if it comes down to it and then check cancellations. We just activated this month so we have a long time left.

I'll keep watch and move reservations around if needed. Then I'll book right on March 8th after scanning in.

I would love to be staying on-site, there are two adults and four kids in the room and when I looked it was crazy expensive. We are lucky and my friend has a timeshare so we are staying at the Worldmark with her points.
