We're going in September with a 3.5yo and a 7 month old. DD1 doesn't use a stroller except at Disney, and even then, I think it's mostly for going between the parking lots and the parks.
We have a Maclaran Volo, which I like because it's so lightweight and simple. Both girls can fit in it (not together, of course). Part of me thinks I can bring that and just plan on carrying DD2 in her Ergo or a sling when DD1 needs to ride.
But a friend has offered me her sit-and-stand stroller, and now I"m wondering if that's a better choice. I think it reclines, so the baby could lie down to nap (the Mac does not recline). Plus, then I have the flexibility of either carrying or pushing the baby, no matter what DD1 wants to do. On the downside, it's a much bigger and heavier stroller than the Mac, and I don't relish the idea of taking it on any buses.
If we drive, I guess we could bring both, but we may end up flying and just taking one stroller with us.
Does anybody have experience with this kind of situation? What did you do, and (more importantly, I guess), what would you do if you were going again?
