I posted this on the DVC planning board and didn't get much response. I'll try here.

Thursday I'm flying down to drive back with my daughter the Friday (CP/CM). My flight will arrive at 12:30PM, expect to be at OKW where I have a studio for one night...just me, the dad. ME will probably get me there by 2, I figure. DD works from 3:30 - 10:30PM, MGM. I have unused days for the park though DD could probably get me in without. We'll be leaving early the next day and driving straight through to home (16 or so hours), but my question is this. What should I do while I'm there? I could sit by the pool and avoid the parks. I could go to the parks (I don't mind going by myself). I could ride around on Disney Transportation all day. I could read a book. I have a Disney nametag my daughter gave me. I could dress like a coordinator and wear my name tag and walk around giving people advice. I could go to the SSR presentation. I could rent clubs and golf.

What would you do? Any suggestions. Be creative. I should make this a contest for the most outrageous suggestion. What would the prize be?

I think I would relax by the pool or golf when you get there and maybe head over to your favorite park for the evening. Anything else seems like a waste of a day at WDW! :)

Hope you have fun whatever you do!! :cheer2:

How about one of the tours at the parks?? I think the keys to the kingdom is only in the AM.

I'd head straight over to Epcot and sit down and watch Off Kilter for the rest of the day. Grab some Chinese from Lotus Blossom Cafe in between sets. See Illuminations, then have a slice of pizza and a drink at the Boardwalk pizza take out window. Your daughter could meet you there after her shift.

How about relaxing and maybe hitting the pool at the resort. Then you could schedule at time after your DD is done work, and either spend some time at DTD or a park that has EMH in the evening. That way, the two of you could have some fun at WDW before you head home.

Noticing in your signature that you dream of driving the boats at Disney....that was always my dream as well! Get out your boatsman attire, placing name bage on shirt and taking the boats all around Seven Seas Lagoon! Strike up conversation with the Captain telling him of your dream of always wanting to Captain your own boat dropping off people at the MK! ;)
