WWYD? I'm on the fence

I agree with others. I say GO FOR IT! If it gets too crowded for you, relax at the hotel. You have APs... meaning you already paid for it, it doesn't matter how many hours you spend each day. Heck, I enjoyed just walking around taking in the decorations. Ride what you can, skip what takes too long. But I do agree with one PP... if you can swing on-site... do it. More people means more waiting in traffic just to get in, parking nightmares, etc. You're experienced Disney travelers, so you don't have to feel the need to GO GO GO all the time. You can go in with a calmer attitude and the crowds won't bother you as much.

We did it 3 years ago, and we're doing it again this year!:cool1:12/28/14-1/3/15.
So many people, but so much fun!
So, I'd say do it!:thumbsup2

My advice would be to go, but with the attitude that the experience is what is important, not how many attractions you are able to do. Just being together and in the parks will make the holiday special! And since your family has visited the parks recently, you know the short cuts and less crowded areas when you need to escape from the crowds.

That being said....think about the possibility of staying in the hotel on New Year's Eve. Our plan was to spend the day at EPCOT and close down the park. However, the crowds continued to build all day. At about 7pm, we had trouble just walking around the World Showcase. At that point, we bailed and went back to the hotel. We ordered pizza and watched the ball drop on TV. That was the ONLY time on the entire trip that the crowds got in our way.

This. I would go but with lower expectations of what you will be able to accomplish, which shouldn't be too hard considering you have been so much already this year.

We did Christmas last year and yes it is crazy, but it was also crazy fun. We went with the attitude that we weren't going to be able to do everything, so we just made sure we did what was really important and had a blast. I say go for it. :woohoo:

Ok so decision made. We are NOT going for NYE. We found out hubby is getting his bonus on Christmas Eve allowing us to renew our AP's so we are going to avoid these crowds and go the last week of January instead.
The crowd numbers that week range from 1-4, instead of NY week of 8-10.

I am not on the fence anymore. lol trading crowd level 10 days for 1-4 will be less stressful and get more done :)

To top it off almost 10 years ago I met a lady on a WDW message board. We have been close friends since (talk almost daily) and met once at WDW over that timeframe.
They are going the same week :)

Thank you for your input it helped a lot. I think we will do nye someday but will wait until we no longer need a stroller.

This, it's all about attitude at that time. We did Christmas/NY for our first ever trip, fantastic. Be there again in 2 days :cool1: can't wait. You've been enough times that you don't have to do all the rides to enjoy it. You'll get some FP+. On-site is definitely worth it (IMHO) at this time of year. EMH's (both early and late) are great

Anyway, hubby would have to work 2 days again while there but would have 5 off. So we could do evenings at the parks or a resort ressie for dinner.
I've always said a bad day at Disney was better than the best day at work. In your DH's case, he gets a special exemption -- a bad day at work, if you're working at Disney (not FOR Disney), is better than a good day working from home.
