Hi,
I am taking advantage of the DVC AP which means we have to squeeze in as many trips as possible.:rolleyes1
My DD sweet 16 trip with her friends is in June 2018, which really sucked our points dry after Aulani this summer.
I want to squeeze in a trip in Oct. I have 48 BRV points. If I buy 24 points this gives me 72 points. My 5 night BRV stay is 77 points.:headache:

Here's the tricky part. Should I book the 4 nights at BRV so I have at least the 4 nights and maybe cash night and buy a few less points.

As much as I want to get back to "WLV".....OKW is 58 points. Which I can do buying 10 points.
Do you think there will be a problem getting an OKW studio from Nov 1-6 at 7 months.
If there is generally plenty of availability I will wait. But I will be bummed if I don't book BRV and then not available and paying same points for SSR.

I have April use year so I will go again Spring break but I can borrow from 2020:teeth:

Edit Plan B is to go from Sept 19-24th. More worried about Rain and hurricane though. Is this a much less busy time to worry about 7 month?
Thanks
Kerri

Normally, I would say that OKW should be available. But, that is going to depend upon the weather and the refurbishment schedule, taking several buildings out of the system on a rotating basis.
But, if you're talking about one-time-use points, remember that you can't use those until the 7 month window opens, anyway. I think your best option, if you want to book early, is to book what you can with points you have available, plus some cash nights that you can cancel later. Then see what is available at 7 months before you cancel the cash nights. Check the cash night price with DVC Discount versus and AP cash discount that may be available. I'd call regular Disney reservations first to check the AP price. It is often the best deal for cash nights.

Oh yea forgot about the OKW refurb......And to make it worse just realized my 4 night BRV stay is 64 points. So I would have to buy one time use points but if I get OkW it will be 6 points to many that I will have purchased. Grrrr, so best bet would be to book 3 nights I guess so I wont get stuck with any points.
Also Nov. 1-4 is the wine and sine half marathon so it could be a little harder to get something at 7 months.
Yes the choices are dwindling already.
Thanks
Kerri

You could look into a points transfer for either BRV - so that you could book sooner than later or take your chances and get points at any resort and wait until 7 month mark. It is a tricky situation and risky to wait when it is such a popular time.

I would see if you can get a points transfer for BRV so that you can get what you want. At the bare minimum, I would book the three nights and see if you can get a cash night that can be canceled later.

Thanks everyone.... now I think y dates are changing, but either way I will definitely book at least the 3 nights and a cash night. Maybe I will do a split stay with OKW last 2 nights. I so want to go “home to WLV”
Thanks
Kerri
