Enough acronyms??
I have about $5800 sitting in 2 FCC accounts (canceled Med cruise for 6). I am looking at a 4 night Halloween one. I can use my mto and that makes it out to be roughly $4000. My goal is to take a Med next summer. Is it better to apply part of the FCC to booking a new cruise? Can I do part and not all...I do NOT want a ton of OBC? Also, I have about $2000 on disney GCs that I bought for the cruise, so I'd want to use those. Should I use the GC and credit card to cover a brand new reservation? (My thought on that is if this new cruise is canceled, I'd get another 125% of FCC, possibly, although I do think the doling out of FCC might disappear at some point).

Thoughts?

Your FCC is for a single future sailing. So right now you would have $1800 left over for OBC. You can also book some hotels, air travel, and other things through the DCL website that you can apply the FCC towards.

Since you have two FCC accounts you can use one for your 4 night Halloween and the other for the Med in 2021.

Like the pp, I was told that I had to choose a single future cruise, and once I did, anything leftover would convert to onboard credit on that cruise. When you say 2 FCC accounts, though, what do you mean? If you mean two people, then the FCC is per person, so theoretically you could elect to use one persons FCC for their fare on the Halloween cruise and pay out of pocket for the other person's fare, which might help you use up the onboard credit because you'd only have half the OBC to use, then save the other person's FCC for the next cruise (though again, then it'd have to be for that person's fare and you'd have to pay out of pocket for the other person. That came out complicated, but hope you understand what I mean.

Then again, I did read someone on these boards said they were able to apply FCC to multiple future cruises. That is not the information given when I talked to CM last month, who said it has to be a single cruise. So it may be that policies have changed, or that YMMV depending on which CM you get...

Since we are a family of 6, we split 3 and 3 in the rooms. There is a FCC in my name and one in my husbands. We'll have to do the same room configuration with any cruise we take. (We stick all four kids in one room, though.)

Hmm, that is different than us. Our three kids (age 8, 8, and 4) each got their own credit as did DH and I. Either way, I think the analysis is the same—you can “split” the credits over two cruises by using one person’s credit (or three people’s if it is per person) but not the others’ credits. But you can’t divide a single person’s credit over two cruises. At least that was what I was told—seems loke they are always changing it.
