I'm really not thrilled with the options for the Fantasmic package. We are going to be at MGM for Fantasmic on a Thursday in late November (28th), and we want to fit Sci-Fi in because we love the atmosphere. But I can't seem to decide how to handle this.

Would you have dessert/snack at Sci-Fi at lunchtime and then book the Mama Melrose Fantasmic package OR have lunch at Sci-Fi and chance the standby seating for Fantasmic?

We have a 4:30 adr at Sci-Fi. I figure at worst we are out by 6pm and hustle across the park to join the line to enter fantasmatic. Others have suggested getting into the theator as it opens and having someone go get food from the stand they must have inside fantasmatic. http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_fan.htm

I'd schedule an ADR about 2 hours before Fantasmic and walk in after dinner. The 2 times I've attended Fantasmic (both in early August, a fairly busy time of year) I found there were seats available as late as 15-20 minutes before start.

We usually do an early lunch at Sci Fi (around 11 when they open) and then do MM for the FDP.
