Currently I have ADRs already made for each day. They include dinner on arrival night at Trail's End and dinner on our last full day at Coral Reef (plus others but these are the places in question). Any way, my family watched WDW on the travel channel yesterday (the first one my DH ever watched) and he just flipped over the HDDR show that we saw bits of. He asked why I didn't book it. The only answer I could think of was they I was already paying OOP for a couple of meals and besides all that I thought I had made too many ressies as it was (way too structured). I was thinking of dropping these 2 places and replacing them with HDDR.
What would you do?

I would try to fit in HDDR. What restaurants do you have planned for each night? What are you paying out of pocket for?

I agree with going to HDDR especially since your DH expressed an interest after seeing a portion of the show. It's a fun meal and show.

So far we have:
Sun Trail's End
Mon Liberty Tree
Tues Le Cellier
Wed Rainforest Cafe OOP
Thurs 50's PT
Friday Crystal Palace
Friday Coral Reef
Saturday Trail's End breakfast (departure day)OOP

I was thinking of dropping Trail's End on arrival day and Coral Reef on the Friday. If I pay for too many other places OOP (like adding HDDR instead of dropping something) we will end up with with too many left over counter places. If we do add HDDR we would probably go on Wednesday after Animal Kingdom

You could also do HDDR on the Sunday evening. It would be a WONDERFUL first night experience.

Also, depending on your transporation, HDDR is really best done from the Magic Kingdom. The bus isn't a huge deal, but it's not the easiest place to get to. You can catch a very quick boat over there from the Magic Kingdom gates.

I would drop Trails End from the DDP- you can either pay OOP or use a CS for that. While we loved Coral Reef, that would be the other one I would drop. I love LTT, Le Cellier, 50s and Crystal Palace.

Doing HDDR after AK is a great idea. :goodvibes

I would much rather do HDDR than eat at a Rainforest Cafe. I don't thin Rainforest is anything special and I can eat there elsewhere rather than use my Florida time to eat at the chain.

I forgot to add that we are staying at Fort Wilderness Cabins so transportation is not a problem. What time is the latest show. We do not arrive in Orlando until 4:30 and I would not want to miss show time

Could you get rid of Trail's End and replace it with HDDR Sunday? Or replace Rainforest Cafe Wednesday? (There are a few showings per night, I think 530, 730, & 930) Then you would have to come up with another credit somewhere right?
If you have 6 TSs, then...

Sun CS dinner?
Mon Liberty Tree TS1
Tues Le Cellier TS2
Wed HDDR (I would consider paying for this OOP. The reason being is it's about 50-60 dollars but a full app, entree and dessert at other non-buffet places could cost more. If you use 2 credits for it then...) TS3 & TS4
Thurs 50's PT TS5
Friday Crystal Palace > I don't know if you can eat here for lunch then have CR dinner. If this is breakfast, maybe you can pay for it OOP? Either that or scratch Liberty Tree on Monday. Do CP dinner on Monday and then CR dinner on Friday? OOP
Friday Coral Reef TS6
Saturday Trail's End breakfast (departure day)OOP

I am keeping the Rainforest ressie as we have never been to a Rainforest cafe. The closest one to us is about 1500 miles away. I am just trying to figure out how to make the most out of my ressies without ending up with a ton of counter credits at the end.

The showtimes are 5:00, 7:15, and 9:30 (p.m).

Do you think you can handle a 9:30 show and dinner?
