My family has decided to head back to WDW Dec of 2009 (most likely Dec 4- Dec 12). I looks like WDW is starting to put out better deals than before (I wonder why:rolleyes: ) I know that your answers are most likely opinions but you guys are so much help that I would love your opinions. I am wondering if I should book now or if I should wait until next year to book?

If you book now, you are guaranteed to get what you want and you can apply a future discount to the ressie. However, if it were me, I'd wait. It's not a high travel time and by having less booked, Disney is more likely to put out deals. However, deals/discounts are never guaranteed and there is a black out around that time this year.

Thanks for the reply. I love to go during the slower time. There are about 4 weeks that are value that I could travel. We have 2 choices for resort and my #2 choice usually is available up until my travel time.
Thanks again.

i think you should wait cause you are planning on going during the value season anyways, so it will be slower and you will probably get a deal. I love going in dec. we are planning on going dec.18th of 09. hopefully, they will keep these good deals coming throughout the year.

Remember that not all rooms are available for whatever "deal" they come out with. I'm going during value time, and if I had waited until this "4+3" came out, I likely would not have gotten what I wanted. For the dates I'm traveling, the deal isn't available at the majority of the resorts. (Just because rooms may be available for regular booking doesn't make them available for the deal. When I put in, for example, POR for my dates, there are rooms. When I put in POR for the 4+3 deal, there are no rooms available.)

Based on my experience this go-round, even with value season and even with the deals, I'd book what I wanted to make sure I had it and could afford it without a deal, and then wait & see what happened.
