Has anyone participated in WWTBAM-PI! during the Walk In And Win programs? How hard is it to be selected to be in the audience and from there how do they select contestents for the Hot Seat? Thanks.

I've never heard of the walk-in and win. Can you tell me a little bit more about this? Thanks!

Jennifer. :dog2:

When we went a couple of weeks ago, every seat in the audience had a "fastest finger" pad and everyone punched in their answers to all of the questions. For the first contestant it was the fastest person on the first question. For the other contestants it was whoever had the highest score from all of the previous questions combined, does that make sense?

This is the Millionaire Play It game that they play on regular days at MGM.

The Walk in and Win is when Meridith Viera will be there in January with the REAL show. There are a couple of other threads that explain it better than I can. I have heard tales of people waiting in line almost all night to get in.

Good luck. I am not eligible to try even if I were able to attend. (sobbing) Like I had a chance . lol

SG, if you are referring to the 30 day rule at WWTBAM-PI!, that has nothing to do with your eligibility to try for the real show. If you have some other reason for not being eligible (ie. you've already been on the show, work for ABC, etc.), then nevermind.

Thank you, Rob. I did not know that. I am not much of a one to drive in the winter though. As scared as I get playing for just pins and shirts I doubt I would do better for money but then one never knows.

I was wondering, since you are such a trivia buff, do you happen to play on line somewhere? I used to play for several years on Darth's Trivia and greatly enjoyed it but the man who ran it died awhile back and no one else has been able to take over his reins. He was a most unique and wonderful fellow and no one could step into his shoes. I do much better at the keyboard than in the HS. I have tried a few other sites but they are not the same. It was such a great bunch of people, from all over the world, and we became friends. I am grateful that I was able to attend the last convention in Charlotte, NC and got to meet Darth and many of the others in person.

I would like to play online as well...where?

If you are talking about playing Millionaire you can get on the ABC site and they have a game you can play there. I also have the Millionaire computer games, picked up for about $10 that has the adult, kids and sports version.

As far as online trivia games you can do a search and find some but I do not like them as well. I am spoiled from the group I used to belong to.

I do not know of any really good trivia sites, though I would think there would be some somewhere. When I've played on-line, it has primarily been at Buzztime's website. It works like the NTN trivia that you find at some bars and restaurants. It is decent, but not that much variety.

Rob, thanks for the heads up. I might give it a try. Is better than nothing but my old group was so wonderful in that we got to know each other and the leader was above reproach so it was always fair.
