We just got back from our vacation. We went to IOA on Sunday and Monday of last week. Here are my tips for HP:
1. Go early. We were there at 6:45 for an 8:00 opening. We were at the front of the pack. When we got on FJ, it was a 45 minute wait. THe back of the line was a 90 minute wait!
2. Go bagless. We walkked into the line because we had gone bagless. The majority of people had to go into the locker area and put bags away and it was a madhouse!
3. If you go with a bag, don't stop at the first lockers. We went later on in the day and there was a huge wait for lockers (we had gone bagless but at this point had acquired butterbeer mugs!). I went around the corner and there were lockers with NOBODY around!
4. Be cognizant that there are others around you. If you are going to bring a giant backpack, watch out where you are going with it. I got hit by so many backpacks, we left the area. I had huge bruises on my arm from an unfortunate allergy shot issue and after being hit repeatedly, I was in tears. I actually told a Universal Studios lady who picked us for a research study that backpacks should be banned from WWOHP. The place is too small to have people with backpacks. They became weapons!
5. Sunday was relatively quiet. We walked in and out all day. Monday was a madhouse at both parks and we couldn't get in to WWOHP!
6. Talk to the Cast Members or whatever they are called. I would ask them things and they would respond like they were wizards. It was hilarious!
7. Have fun and be calm. The place is tiny and it is difficult not to step on or be stepped on. Say excuse me and/or sorry. It goes a long way!
Hope this helps!
