Going to WDW for NYE and hey, what the heck, let's throw Universal in there too because all or nothing. Right?

So I am wondering if :#1 Will Christmas decorations still be up around January 3rd? #2 How soon should I arrive at US to enter Diagon Alley using early entry? Half an hour before the early entry? And #3, is there a chicken exit for Gringott's? Those rides make DS sick but he'd like to see the queue.
Any other helpful hints for surviving this insane venture are appreciated.Thanks.

You'll be cutting it close with the Christmas decorations. (I know this is after the mentioned January 3rd date but) I believe the decorations come down between the 3rd and 6th. I agree with Damo on the other two answers

in 2014 i was at uo on jan 3rd.
no decoratations were up when we arrived in the parks.

1. I doubt decorations will still be up.
2. 45 minutes early is a tad excessive. 15-20 should be sufficient.
3. The ride is great but the queue is even better in my opinion. Certainly take the chicken exit if needed.
