Hi guys! New to the board here. Been reading all the great stuff you guys post on here so I figured I'd start posting myself. I was just wondering if anybody could give me an idea of how the WWOHP is after about 6 pm until close. Is that the best time to go?? thanks!

After 6pm, you can get into the area without waiting in line, but it's still pretty crowded right now. However, the later you are there, the easier it is to get into rides and shops and Three Broomsticks without long lines. And the shops are staying open well past closing time.

If FJ has had a breakdown during the afternoon, expect its line to still be long, and Olivander's Line will be long regardless of when you go.

Hogwarts looks amazing at night, and the windows (particularly the upstairs) seem to work better at dusk than in broad daylight.

Yeah from pictures it seems like the whole area looks amazing at night including hogsmeade.

We went 2 nights, never even attempted a daytime visit. At night there was no wait to get into the area. 3 Broomsticks was quiet, the line for FJ was shorter (single rider just cruised right along) And right after closing time, there was no line for Honeydukes. Prior to closing there was a very, very long line. Very pretty at night as well. Recommended. Have fun!

Thanks guys! I think I'm definitely going to spend most of my nighttime in WWOHP but of course I'll have to experiance it during the day as well just to get the best of both worlds:thumbsup2

It's too bad Universal closes so early. You get an hour of night time there and then you have to leave. They should reconsider the operating hours.
