Hi---

I am on Weight Watchers and will be at WDW next week with my DD's Dance Team. We are staying at the ASMusic. Does anyone know of any WW meals at the resort (or any resort) or parks? I won't have a vehicle so I need ideas on property. I am going to bring microwave pop corn and instant oatmeal but I really can't bring too much cause I won't have a vehicle. I'm not worried about exercise as I'll do plenty of walking. It's just the food---what do I eat?

I have never been on Weight Watchers, but I do try to eat healthy. Just try to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Two years ago when we were in disney, I remember a healthy option at the "fast food" counters in the Magic Kingdom. If you order a hamburger platter, you can get fresh veggies instead of fries. Also when you go to EPCOT, go into The Land---there is a large food court and I remember that you can get healthy food there. They have salads and fruits. I also carried a water bottle with me every where I went. I would fill it with ice and by the time I was thristy the ice melted and I had cold water to drink. (I do not drink any pop---even diet pop.) I also ordered water with my sit-down meals. Filling up the water bottle was easy---just ask for ice at any of the beverage stands. The bottom line is: just make wise food choices. Good luck.

I was there in September in the midst of my 60 lb weight loss thru WW (12 more to go)!

I had no trouble keeping on the plan. The ASMU food court had fruit. I think you could get toast and bagels too. I just asked for them with the butter/cream cheese on the side and put it on very sparingly.

DH is a big bacon and eggs eater - but I am NOT a breakfast eater!

They also sold yogurt too.

For lunches I had salads mostly. You can get a salad practically anywhere. I just asked for dressing on the side.

We ate at buffets a lot and again, I just kept to the salads, veggies, small amounts of meats (except for Ohana where I went a little overboard).

I ended up losing 3 lbs over the 9 days we were at WDW! We were very active, getting up early and taking a 3 mile walk every a.m. and swimming in the p.m.

Dole Whips at MK are supposed to be quite low in points - maybe 3 for a small? I can't remember, but it's fat free frozen yogurt with pineapple and it's yummy!

I'm a WW too, and managed to lose 1.5 pounds while at the parks in November, and I'm not ashamed to say that I didn't stay within my points range. Keep in mind that you're on vacation, and you'll be doing plenty of walking so be sure to keep drinking water.
I don't mean that I totally pigged out on the trip, but as it turned out, we got engaged so we did a little celebrating. Like others have said, there are lots of salad choices (which I did have a lot of) too. My leader always says not to worry too much if you fall off the plan while on vacation, as long as you get right back on track when you get home. Again, keeping up with your water definitely helps, and helped me go down 9 pounds over 2 weeks while on my Disneyland vacation a year and a half ago.

Good luck, and most of all, have a great time!

And if you want one ice cream cookie sandwich from the nestle bakery on Main Street USA, go for it! It's my special treat for myself!!
And don't forget fish! Also, you can get cereal in the cafeterias in the hotels, as well as Original glazed Krispy Kreme donuts which only have 5 points. (I know, only?!?)
