After talking to a coworker and reading these posts, I decided to try weight watchers. My coworker gave me her calculator and books so that I wouldn't have to spend money. I started on Monday and have really surprised myself. I have been able to stay at or under my allowed points for the day and I DONT FEEL DEPRIVED !!! I can't believe it. I tried south beach once and didn't like the fact that i couldn't eat certain foods. Nothing against south beach, it just didn't work for ME. My boyfriend is so happy that I'm happy. I was explaining how the points worked to him and showing him the calculator. He thought it was pretty neat. He was even joking a bit about it while brushing his teeth the other night saying, "well i used toothpaste and that was 2 pts..."
He can joke all he wants, but wait till I reach my goal!
BTW, he wasn't making fun of me, just the situation with counting everything. I'm 5'4" and weigh 178 lbs. Gained a lot of it while pregnant and never really took all of it off. I weighed 130 lbs before son, now 3, was born. My goal is to get back to that weight but I know it will take some time and excersice and disipline. So, now that you've heard my story I just want to say how great WW really is!
