What is a person supposed to do if you don't have your minimum points in at the end of the day?

Today has been very busy for me, and I have eaten 3 well balanced meals, as well as a snack. Tonight when I totaled my points, I find that I am at 18.5 when my minimum is 22! This has never happened to me before. I am not hungry, but should I eat something anyway? It seems silly to eat when I am not hungry for anything. Help?

You never expected to have this problem, did you , Terry? :)

I would probably have a glass of skim milk (enough to put me at minimum points.)

I don't think an occasional day when you're off your points (either a little high or low) will make much real difference. But we eat for nutrition, not just because we feel hungry.

Sure does make it easier to stay OP when your stomach's not growling at you!

You really SHOULD eat your minimum points. Eating too little food is just as bad as eating too much of it; it plays havoc with your metabolism.

Our WW leader told us the if we consistently eat below our minimum points that our bodies will think that we might be starving and you might even gain weight.

I don't think one day will be a big deal. You just can't make it a habit.

Don't worry. It won't become a habit. :) It was just one of those days where I was out of the house for the majority of it. I had breakfast, had packed my lunch and snack. We ended up eating out for dinner. It was close to 9 pm before we made it home. I was SHOCKED I hadn't hit inside of my points range. I was just curious if it is better to not eat (since it was so late) or to eat something/anything just to get to minimum points. Typically I land right in the middle of my range. :)

My theory is if you are not hungry don't FORCE yourself to eat just to reach the minimum!!! AS long as you don't do it all the time it should not be a proble,!! DOn't worry I bet you have a higher point day before to lpong andyou will be very glad to have had such a great day today!!!

I'd use this opportunity to have a cookie or some special treat to get to minimum. But also I don't think it will hurt you to not reach minimum if its a very rare occurrence. That's happened to me once or twice since starting WW where I hadn't reached minimum and it seemed crazy to eat when I wasn't hungry. Once I didn't eat and once I did.

Once or twice a week I go under my minimum daily points allowance but that means that I can have a few extra points to play with on either Friday or Saturday.
