we are thinking about meeting up with my brother's family at the halfway point between both of our houses and camping for the weekend. We are looking to camp somehwere in West Virgina. I am looking for any recommendations of where to go or to stay away from. Thanks :goodvibes

We've stayed (with extended family from all over the eastern US) in two WV state parks. We stayed in cabins, but did take a peek at the campgrounds. Both parks were wonderful. Pipestem is in the southern part of the state near Beckley. This past summer we stayed in Canaan Valley state park in the northeastern part of the state. I hope to get to revisit both of them!

Pipestem was absolutely gorgeous! We were there 2 summers ago and had a good time.

WV from top to bottom is about 4 hours. What part of WV where you planning on meeting? Or are you wanting anywhere?

I hear Summersville lake is a nice camping area. (I'm not a camper.)
