Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I've posted - been busy selling and buying houses! But we've finally got round to booking our next trip to Disneyworld :cool1: !

We've decided to go at the end of August next year, so no-one has to miss school, and also so we can take advantage of the free dining popcorn:: .

We've booked direct via disneyworld.co.uk - 14 nights at Pop Century, and we've had an email confirmation, but I was wondering if Disney will send written confirmation in the post?

Thanks everyone!

hi, we booked to go in dec next year, we have booked through disney in america, but we recieved our invoice today, so i would imagine that if they sent us one from america, you would get one from uk, hope this helps susie2

We booked with Disney Uk for next year and received written confirmation from them a few days after we'd received the e-mail confirmation.

That's good news - thanks :thumbsup2

We only booked last weekend, so it's only been a few days, so I'll look forward to getting the confirmation!

have they already released free dining for next year? wow..
I didnt think they were doing it next year..

It is only available to UK visitors at the moment when booked with a UK agent such as Virgin, Airtours, First Choice, TCS, TCD or Disney.co.uk. :)

Yep, that's the main reason we've booked already - we haven't even got any flights arranged yet - just have to keep our fingers crossed we can get them without too many problems :)

oh goodness.
We got back this morning from 16 days and I have to say that the parks were packed for this time of year due to the dining plan.
We couldnt get into any table service restaurants as it was completely full of people eating for free. Disney lost many hundreds of dollars from us as it could not accomodate us.

We are so used to going the last two weeks of August and getting spoiled with low crowds and no need to make major travel plans (we like to see how we feel on the day!).. but this was crazy for us.. Disney's hotels were running at 93% capacity and the budget resorts were running at 100% capacity..

we might have to rethink when we go to WdW in future if the free dining is staying....
Dont get me wrong.. I think its a great deal for the people getting the free dining, but not so great for everyone else...

Oh dear :sad2: I'm sorry to hear that.

To be honest, I would have really preferred to go the same time as we did last year - late october, but unfortunately, it wasn't really practical this time as my niece is starting junior school in September next year, and my sister in law is starting university this year.

When we saw the free dining, we thought it was a bonus which would make going in August a bit more painless!

I have worked out when 180 days are from our arrival date - 19/2/2007 :teeth: , so I'll be taking a day off work then to get all the dining reservations done if possible - hopefully we'll be able to get most of them.

As you say not good for you, but the Mouse will be happy :)

We still haven't received any written confirmation from Disney yet - it's been nearly 2 weeks since we booked.

Do you think I should leave it for a few more days, or should I check with Disney?
