I have always been into writing books. The problem is, I just can't seem to find what genre I should write. I'm cool with writing whatever somebody wants. What genre do you prefer??

Fantasy :], fairytale, fiction , you know that sort of stuff : ]

I love writing books too, but the problem is I never finish them :/. :]

I have the same issue I start them but then I just never get around to finish them......alot of them are only a chapter long aswell :rotfl:

I find it easier to write in horror (the classic style not the recent shock thrills...)

Hey Nickobsessed,

I also write stories and as of now I have 14 chapters. I am 13 years old and a lot of my friends think I'm crazy to write stories this long at my age. But i need some help. Yesterday, I posted a entry on Disboards asking this question,

" Genevieve ( my character who is the author) needs some help. She wants to know what your dream sweet 16 is going to be like or if you already were 16 what was your special day like?" :confused3

If you would like, I can use some more friends on Disboards if you are interested in what I like to do? Thanks,

P.S. If I have people writing to me, plz use your real name not your disboards name. Also if you want you can say your age.

Carissa Holly Beach Babe Boudreau :mic:

Nobody has answered yet and can please get some people to answer me? :confused3

haha I know right! I'm currently writing a fantasy book, set in medieval times , oh jeez hahhaha :D!

I feel you guys. I've tried to write stuff, but they often turn into being nothing more than short stories. The ones that I have written have been mainly following the lives of normal teens. No magic, fantasy, sci-fi or anything like that. They often deal with extreme hardships teens could face like cancer, sickness, or other serious issues.

I usually tend to write horror, drama or realistic fiction. I have a hard time writing stories that oh persay like Disney tales. I have a difficult time writing fantasy or things that arent possible.

I'm actually in the beginning stages of writing a trilogy. It's Sci-Fi/Adventure.

Mysteries are always fun, if tricky to weave. I'm writing a fiction novel on dystopian society. So fun. :)

It's about a girl *Beyla* who is sort of the "outcast" but not really but sort of, It's hard to explain hahaha if you want I can PM/inbox you the details :]

Sure. If you are not busy or anything. I like it so far. It makes me want to read more! Lol! :smickey:

I can tell you a few other facts about my story:

1. Genevieve Adams has a best friend named Paisley that lives in New Orleans

2. Genevieve loves GossipBook.com ( it's just like facebook but I did not want to plagiarize.)

3. Genevieve is a fictional character, but i am the real Genevieve. It makes the story so much better when I can relate to her.

>ol thanks! I'll inbox you the summary

>That's so cool :]! your 3rd is like mine I love when I can relate to my characters. Your story looks so good!!

I tend to write moderate fantasy (fantasy, but still containing realistic elements) or realistic fiction with not-so-realistic situations.

I've found that it's best to just write out any ideas you get, and those that seem to stick to the wall more, are the ones you should go for. I recently wrote out a 15 page story that I thought would only be 5.

I finished a 51,000 word/121 page novel during NaNoWriMo 2009 and I plan on attempting another one for this year's.

Most of what I write is fanfic (including that novel, though I took several liberties with plot and it could, essentially, function as a separate piece), but I do write separate pieces as well. I'm going to school for journalism, so writing is just an extension of that.

Good luck with your works!

Wow!

I'm writing a book as well, but its Fan Stories! About the Jonas Brothers. It's about this girl who is very shy and she has two older sisters and a twin brother. She doesn't really tell anyone anything about herself, besides her brother. She can tell him almost anything, and he is her closest friend and family member. The girl goes to school, and gets bullied everyday by none other than Miley Cyrus, who is a VERY MEAN AND NASTY GIRL. (Which is true in real life, too!!) When school finally gets out, Rachael, (the girl), finds herself at a music camp for the summer. Camp Musical. She meets Demi, Taylor Swift, and Selena, and they become inseparable. Miley Cyrus goes to camp as well, and tries to TORTURE Rachael. By trying to get her to stop loving her current boyfriend, Nick Jonas. Fortunatley for Rachael, Nick breaks up with Miley. Nick and Rachael meet and the Opening night bonfire maskerade dance. They dance together, and somehow, they end up falling deeply in love with eachother, but they don't know until Nick asks Rachael out a couple of days later. They share their first kiss that very night. On a perfect Saturday night date, Miley tries to kill Nick for dating Rachael, but she FAILS! (At almost everything, including singing, which is also true! The little sl*t.):headache::banana::headache::headache::headache:
