Wristbands?

My girls will be 2 & 3 when we go, so I like the shoe id over the wrist band because I think they will take the wrist band off - only problem is if they go on a water ride or something, will it get ruined? Is it possible to tie the wristband to a shoelace or something like that?

I suggest using a permanant marker. I can not speak to the water proof part as I have not used them yet. Although looking at them they seem they would hold up to some water. Not sure about a water park. You can always buy a few in the event you are going to a water park in case one is ruined. I figure a few extra dollars for an extra ID is worth its weight in gold for me to have peace of mind.

Yes, the "whos shoes id" goes on the laces (the part that cris crosses) or on sandles.

Check out the site (www.whosshoesid.com). There is some good feedback on there. Hope this helps.

I didn't put their names. I just put MOM (my cell #) and DAD (his cell#)

After seeing posts on DIS, I ordered silicone rubber wristbands from shanrene.com who shipped fast (received within 10 days of order) Very reasonable. I think i paid less than $7 for two bracelets--figured if we could hold onto them, could use again.

I printed last name & cellphone(dads) and on other side--last name & cellphone (mom's). My kids are old enough to tell their name if necessary.

Wristbands gave me a guarded sense of safety-- But one adult was always with one child and often holding a hand and my children don't wander off. They worked well except--though i ordered the YOUTH size, my thin 6 yr old did have trouble keeping hers on when removing a coat/shirt with longsleeves. On the last day somewhere between the park and the airport, DD6 lost it. Glad her name isn't floating around with a phone number on it--reverse lookup/google makes people easily traceable--though unlikely i'm sure.

After reading here, what a good idea to put on ankle--but then might need adult size to slip over foot??

I saw the who's shoes thing on Extreme Makeover Home Edition, too. It looks like a good idea since it hides the information inside. Since it goes on their shoes instead of around a wrist or ankle it seems like it would be less irritating, too.

The only information I placed on the bracelets (ordered from Sharene) for my kids was our cell phone numbers... frankly, it is the only info I want on any kind of child ID.

The who's shoes are a great idea if your child wears sneakers all the time but for my kids they don't work as they prefer Crocs and sandals at WDW.

The wrist and ankle bracelets didn't bother either of the kids and in fact they forgot they were wearing them pretty quickly.

For us, bracelets are the most versatile and durable way for our kids to have our cell phone numbers easily available in case we get separated.

I bought some bands from http://www.sayitbands.com/ideas.htm They included shipping even to Canada which is good because other places wanted a fortune I ended up buy 7 5 for my older boys and 2 for my dd and one just in case. I'm going to use them at disney if my cell phone will work there.

I used the ones from shanrene for wdw and then again anytime we go somewhere with a lot of people. my dd2 wears in on her ankle and loves it. my dd5 will wear it but she knows my cell # and home # so I am not as worried.
I did not like the shoeid. The area to write was real small and my kids did not like it on their shoes.

We used this company too. They have adult, youth and toddler size. The youth size bands are always too big for my kid's wrists but the toddler size was perfect for them. They shipped quickly and we were really pleased with them.

I ordered from both Shanrene and SayItBands and was happy with both companies. Both of my kids (6yo and 3yo) preferred to wear the band on their ankle rather than wrist. You can see my DD's lavender ID band on her ankle in this photo:

No issues with either of them wanting to take it off. After using the first one, my 6yo asked me to get more colors so he can mix it up depending on his mood. :rotfl:

I'm thinking about ordering some from shanrene for my DD almost 4. I think it would be cute to put some little phrases on them, it seems to work on the computer. Too bad we aren't planning a WDW trip, because I'd love to write "I can't meet Cinderella until I find my mommy!" with my cell # on the back! :rotfl:

I just ordered my 2.5 year old bands for our upcoming trip. I ordered mine at kidssafetybands. I chose them because they offered toddler size bands and they were only $4 plus tax and shipping. My son is on the slim side but the bands fit him really well, not to tight and not to loose. Hope this helps!

Just an FYI, but shanrene.com has them for $1.99 each plus shipping right now. I just ordered mine last night & got an email that they were shipped today! I only paid a little over $11 for four of them shipped.

I got my boys a set of dog tags. They were $7 for a set (one with a necklace and one with a short chain). I am going to have them wear one around their neck and attach the other to the fanny packs they are going to wear. I hope that by doing it that way if they were to lay the fanny pack down somewhere then someone might call and return it so they don't lose their autograph books etc. These were shipped out to me the next day and I'm very happy with them. And the boys think they are cool because they are just like the ones Daddy had in the army!!:)

I got them at http://www.dogtagsonline.com

I love these, I am going to order some for my kids. Even though the only one that really needs it is my 4 year old, my 9 and 11 year old like wearing them.

I was searching for wristbands and didn't want to spend a lot.

I found these and I think I will just write information on them. I can put them around their ankles, wrists and can use them to tag other things as well. (And I think they come in neon green too!)

That is the ebay site for them. I didn't need 500 that were sold in bulk. I think I'll go with these.
