Wrinkled Ponchos

we have 2 very wrinkled mickey ponchos from last year. they spent the entire year balled up in our suitcase. I know I've seen some poncho de-wrinkling tips on here, but can't bring them up with the search function. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've not done it with a poncho, but I've used the clothing dryer to get wrinkles out of a vinyl shower curtain before. It should work the same. You just need to check it every 20-30 seconds. It'll only take a minute or two to get warm enough to be pliant. Then, lay it out flat.

Yep. The dryer works like a charm. :)

If you hang them out on the clothesline on a nice warm sunny day, this should help.

I then put them on a flat surface and run my hands down to get out the wrinkles.

I then fold and roll them.

Good luck

I would dampen them a little, and put them in the dryer for a few minutes, and then hang them. Perfect!

Geez-you mean you're not supposed to leave them balled up in the old suitcase, forget about having them and end up buying new ones every trip--and complaining about how we own $200 worth of Mickey ponchos? ;)

Lay them out flat on your driveway in direct sun for about an hour....they should be good as new. Then fold them back nicely.

I think I read somewhere that if you hang it in the bathroom while you take a hot shower (maybe leave it there through a couple showers), that will take the wrinkles out.

I thought you were talking about this guy :confused3

Great idea!
I'm thinking maybe I'll hold off until I have a full 'service for 12' ..which shouldn't take long :rotfl:

Oh so funny BirdsOfPreyDave :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Do you use PhotoShop???

Anyway, I buy cheapo, non-disney ponchos and since I like to travel light, I want nicely wrapped flat ones to go into my DH big ol' pockets ... so wrinkly ones are not good!!! But I have to admit good ideas on getting the wrinkles out should I ever want to. :sunny:

Ponch in a poncho! That's great! :rotfl:
By the way, this is very OT, but do you by chance work with birds of prey, Dave?

I turn our ponchos side out (to keep Mickey nice and bright) and put them into the dryer with a wet towel. Works like a charm!
