Has anyone noticed that the regular "free" linens Disney provides are always creased...Has anyone ever brought this up or noticed? Or is it just me ?o_O Does anyone have a link to table linens offered through Disney? Do they at least iron the ones you pay for? HELP please! I think i'm going crazy...hahahahaha:rotfl2:

I think I've read here in the past that Disney never irons the linens at all. It would be nice if they would ... I hate the look of wrinkled/creased linens on tables.

I wonder if you put "iron linens" on your BEO if they would. Like it says in Carrie's book, "If it's not on the BEO, it won't happen."

I've wondered the same thing. I don't think it's unreasonable to not want a tacky disheveled look, especially after spending all that money. If they don't, that's a major FAIL for Disney.

There was a thread posted a few months ago about the Snow White themed rehearsal dinner (I can't find it now), and they had upgraded linens and they were creased. And I think I remember somebody posting on that thread that her planner said they do not iron or steam the linens. EPIC fail, DFTW, epic fail.

yeah, ever since that post i've noticed how bad they look (the linens) in abot every picture put out by disney! to the point where the DF, er HUSBAND!!!! heh, notices it too. our reception was one week ago today, and i don't recall wrinkling, so if i see it in the pics, i didn't notice it in the room and everything looked lovely! for a short time, i thought there was a snag or whole in the sheer overlay on another table that was facing me, but on closer inspection, it was some kind of stupid tag. why leave or put a tag in the middle of a sheer table cloth, i do not know.

i didn't request ironing, but i did put "no clouding" and nary a cloud was seen!

Update ladies...First of all thanks for backing up and validating my concern...Good to know I'm not the only one that's irked by this. I heard back from my planner and they said that they would iron the linens...for $350!!! O_o ...I mean geez...we're spending over 30,000! Are ironed linens too much to ask for? Has anyone actually rented other linens from Disney...do they iron those? I'm stuck with Disney too since our reception venue is ADH... grrr...:headache:

Are you freaking kidding me?! How is it possible that ironing the linens isn't standard??? That's insane - these are not budget weddings. Haha, I just read this thread to my DF and he wants to know if we can iron them ourselves - god help me.

I love Disney, but that's just ridiculous! I also thought ironing/steaming was standard practice . . . apparently not . . . my budget's already $7k over, what a few hundred more . . .

:scared1: Whoa! That's ridiculous! For that price you could own the linen.

$350!? :scared1: Although I guess this shouldn't surprise me, considering that they charge $3 for each swag point that you have in your tablecloths. :rolleyes1

Re: your question about a link to linens offered ... there was a site called linenshowroom.com where you could see most of what they had, but the site's been down for a couple of weeks. If you go to disneyeventgroup.com, you can see what they've got, though the info on what sizes are available isn't as complete or accurate.

You know, it's really surprising that this isn't standard. Disney has high standards, and they care about their "brand". Or so I thought. (This is one of the reasons we chose to have our wedding with them). You'd think they'd not want to represent themselves as "messy or with lack of attention to detail". With some of the flak I've been given about having my wedding at Disney the last thing I want to hear is someone comment to someone else about how silly my wedding was and how, for example, the linens were all wrinkled. :headache:

AGREE. Because I am absolutely positive I will have some guests DYING to find flaws to gossip about.

Amen Ladies...This makes me sad...The comment about owning the linens for that amount really hit home ***sigh*** soo sad but true... I'm disappointed and feel a bit helpless...it just doesn't seem fair...and now with 2 months to go it really seems I have no choice...thanks for listening to my rants

pixie921- Thanks so much for the link!!!

This is ridiculous. We all need to voice our concerns to Disney. Otherwise we are never going to see changes. I guess if I wore a wrinkled wedding dress, that would be fine because they would match the wrinkled linens. Charging extra to have smooth linens is ABSURD. That is no way to do business!

I can't agree more with everyone...so just some clarification. I spoke with my planner today...it looks like the price for pressing the linens would vary depending or what and how many linens you had...your planner can drop a message to the laundry department and they are actually the ones that give the planners a price...still outrageous to have creased linens on your special day...:headache:

I honestly have no clue! It seems when dealing with Disney we're just at their mercy...Maybe...just maybe if the planners here more on this something will happen... well...we can dream can't we?
