heading towards wrigley field tomorrow to watch the Cubs beat the Cardinals! Wondering what time the stadium will open for the 120 game? Can fans watch batting practice????

What is the weather going to be like?? What should we wear!!!!!

Can you really bring coolers in the park filled with Water????Wow...

please let me know...we are sitting in section 403 in upper box seats??? any ideas of how good these seats are...please help me..we are leaving in 9 hours!

First, have a great time!!

try cubs.com for the new security measures, it's on the opening page, just scroll down a bit.

It's gonna be warm here Sat but, Wrigley IS closer to the lake and, that always accounts for cooler temps at the park, IF you're in the shade.

403 is the furthest left field seats and, you already know you're upper deck. IMO, their isn't a bad seat at Wrigley! ;)

Yes, fans can come early to watch batting practice and, there's even a discount on food & non-alco bevs for 1 hour after gates open. WHEN the gates open, I'm not sure. But, I'd venture to say at least an hour before the game. :p

Kick some Cardinal butt, OK?!?! :teeth:

(1) Gates open 2 hours before game time. Fans can watch batting practice :).

(2) The weather is going to be rainy, I think. Scattered thunderstorms. The temeratures will be in the high 70's in Chicago, but it's always cooler near the lake. I would wear long pants and a jacket (not red!).

(3) You may bring soft-sided coolers only. More information can be found at: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/chc/ballpark/chc_ballpark_security.jsp

(4) You can find your seats here: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/chc/ballpark/chc_ballpark_seating.jsp . They don't look too bad ... a little down the line and too high for my tastes. I'll be in my season ticket seat: Terrace Reserved, aisle 213, row 8 seat 6 :). It's even with 3rd base. If you are in the first few rows, you may not be out of the rain. Even if you are farther back the rain may blow on you, so you should be prepared.

Have a great time! Let's beat those Red-Birds :).

LOL KimRaye! How did I know you would answer the question too?

BTW, I picked up the cutest Mickey Mouse Bobble Head in a Cubs uniform last Saturday at the Osco Drug on Addison and Southport :) (3637 N. Southport). What could be better than combining my two passions: Disney and the Cubs?

Gotta scout the Osco's, looking for one!! :p

And ladies, I sure hope they get the game in Sat. It is thundering and lightning here right now. :( :(

It's thundering here right now!!!:(

DD and son-in-law will be at the game (weather permitting) - field boxes - and (sorry guys) rooting for the red birds!!! We may live near Chicago now, but we grew up 15 minutes from Busch Stadium. DH and I had our first date at the age of 17 at a Cardinal game - but I won't tell you how many years ago. ;)

What a great 10th inning :).

BTW, I'm glad to hear that Marrero only sprained his ankle this afternoon and didn't break it! What a strange game ... the wind was really blowing out! I, for one, was glad they called it before someone else got hurt in the swamp that was once the Wrigley outfield.

How awesome..I really wanted to go see a game there when I go in July, but it doesn't seem like it will be happening :( Enjoy the game and let me know how it was.
