Wrapping gifts-

tissue never.
gift bags ...only sometimes... i don't like the look of a used gift bag..
so when its handled several times over...no .. so I don't regift it .. I use it myself for storage .. for lunches ..etc.. \(yeah i know I am weird that way)

Do you re-use gift bags? How about tissue paper?

Just curious!

Yes and yes. Gift bags are easy. I use a cool iron on tissue paper to smooth out crumples and creases and refold carefully for use next year. I also recycle gift wrap and ribbons. Why waste them?

Some recycled gift boxesare probably ten years + old and quite scruffy. But who cares when they are nicely wrapped?

:)

Gift bags, yes. Tissue, no (but it gets recycled with the newspaper). I re-use boxes if they are in good condition, if not they get recycled too.

and yes.. unless the tissue is trashed.

My DD and her best friend have been passing the same big gift bag of a snake with huge google eyes back and forth on their birthdays for years.

We're also careful with the wrapping paper so it can be folded flat and recycled.

Yes to both, and gift boxes too if they are in good shape.

Gift bags and boxes are folded down to be flat and that makes it easier to store for the year, and the tissue is re-used to pack away Christmas ornaments and decorations.

Wrapping paper is thrown away, nothing left anyways once it is ripped off the box ;) Plus, it's fun to toss a crumpled up ball around the room.

Gift bags are almost always saved for re-use. Although I did notice a small one in the trash the other day. Wife got a gift from a co-worker and said she didn't like the bag. It was perfectly fine. I tried to rescue it but it had coffee grounds all over it

Never bother saving the tissue paper or gift wrap or ribbons. Maybe a bow if it's especially nice.

Definite yes to gift bags & boxes. I just brought back a gift box to reuse for DD next year (won't even have to change the tag :D ). I get several gift bags, boxes & fancy ribbon every year from parents (teacher here) & those get saved as well. I just pulled out a few boxes I know have to be at least 5+ years old. One went to my MIL & knowing her I expect to see it at many more Christmases.
If a bag gets to looking a bit natty it gets used to either carry multiple gifts to school or for White Elephant exchanges. They do get recycled if they're too far gone.

Tissue & paper get tossed but I do keep even small paper scraps. They're great for wrapping up small gifts for kids. I think part of the fun is unwrapping stuff so I like to wrap even smaller gifts for the nieces & nephews.

Gift bags are made to be reused. Why would anyone throw it away? That's just so wasteful. :confused3

We reuse whatever we can. The exception is wrapping paper and gift tags, of course. Tissue paper gets re-used if it was used just to stuff a bag or line a box.

My SIL does a fabulous job wrapping presents every year. I almost hate to open them because they are so pretty. (Hmm, maybe one year she can just gift me empty wrapped boxes I can use for decoration under the tree.)

I'm much lazier. I wrap what I can, gift bag other things, etc. One year we gave all the kids presents from Disney World. We "wrapped" our presents in the then current Disney holiday plastic shopping bags. Twist the neck, give it a ribbon tie and they made nice packages. The best part was that the kids could just stuff their other presents inside and use the bags to carry stuff home.

If I knew for certain what was in each of the boxes I'm tempted to keep all the presents in their original Amazon shipping container this year. The presents are hidden and the kids will have to work a lot harder to open an Amazon box than something I wrap. Is that tacky? ;)

Amazon boxes are brown and that is very "country" like kraft paper so just use some red bows throw on a sprig of pine, pine cone, or a few candy canes, or some red ribbon on the smaller ones and you would be following a theme!!!!! Not tacky, very stylish to have all your packages in the same theme. Use the brown paper bag gift bags with red and green tissue for anything you didn't buy from Amazon and do the same with the ribbon and you are good to go.

It is also pretty easy (thank you Amazon) to figure out what is in each box if you go to your accounts page and check order numbers on the boxes.
I love Amazon.

I reuse both. Tissue often gets reused as stuffing for other presents. If I am giving a gift to someone outside of the family I use new tissue/bags. For Christmas I don't use gift bags at all for immediate family because unwrapping is most of the fun. I ran out of big boxes so my sister's gift is in a gift bag :lmao:.

bags ...yes if still in good shape.
tissue usually not because it gets wrinkled.

Same here.

I really like ths smaller gift bags, because I have found they are great for giving my kids to take as lunch bags on field trips. Most of the time, the school asks that the kids bring lunch in a paper bag, not a lunch box or other containers that need to be brought home, but those little brown bags are too small to fit what I want to give them. Smaller gift bags are perfect in size, are sturdier than brown paper bags, and have a handle making it easier to carry! :)
