Sometimes my husband just surprises the heck outta' me. As we were sitting in the living room drinking our coffee this morning, he said to me, "we're going to Disneyland for our 1-year anniversary, right?" I almost jumped out of my seat. We had talked about going to DLR, but I didn't know he was actually thinking about spending our 1-year anniversary there! I am so so excited. I have never been to DLR (only WDW) and feel that I am really going to a place where the magic started. We will be going in late September (does anyone have any idea what the weather and crowds will be like?) and I get to plan the whole thing! YAY!!!!! :cheer2:

Yay! I'm so excited for you!! You're going to have a BLAST!!! WOO!

Yay!

I'm from Northern California, but as far as I can tell, weather is still pretty warm and summer-like in September. I've heard crowds aren't bad in Sept. due to all the kids just getting back to school. You might want to watch out from HM being down to be changed over for the holidays. I'm sure others know more.

Have fun!

Yes, in late September, the Haunted Mansion will probably be closed for it's annual "Nightmare Before X-mas" layover. Also, this particular year, It's a Small World will be closed due to it's extensive rehab.

Weather will most likely still be very warm if not hot (but as they say, it's a dry heat):) . Also be aware of pontentially strong Santa Ana winds that time of year, which can disrupt scheduled fireworks.

Crowd levels should be low that time of year, so it's a great time to get to see and do lots of things at the parks without fighting through the masses.:thumbsup2

Hope you have an AWESOME 1st anniversary!

(Not sure where you're staying, but hopefully it's someplace close with a great pool so you can cool off in the hot afternoons.)

If you stay on Disney property with a disney package, make sure you tell them its your anniversary. If not, make sure you stop at City Hall and get a "Happy Anniversary" button to wear. You may get some extra special treatment.

I went to Disneyland last year right after my wedding (we were married 9/29, and were in DL from 10/1-10/3). It was still pretty hot, the crowds weren't too bad, and HM already had the NBC layover and was open. Have a blast!
