Wow, What's happened to MYPOINTS?

I've been clicking my heart out the last few weeks in hopes of getting some gift cards for the holidays. I decide to take a peek at what gift cards to order and it's very slim pickens'. What's going on? What's worse is the points you need has sky rocketed. So, I'm definately not happy.

What other sites are out there similiar to Mypoints? Really don't want survey type places.

MP does run out of gift cards, when that happens they have to restock. I've used them years and years and I have no problems with them.

I just got my first Walgreens gift card from my points a few weeks ago, and this week, I got my first DISNEY gift card from quickrewards.net. They seem to have a better selection of redemption options, but it's a lot of senseless clicking and doing surveys. To me though, free money is still free money, and I don't spend too much time doing them.

I was pretty psyched to get 100 points from my points from the spin-n-win last week too!

gee, i dunno..maybe EVERYBODY is xmas shopping with their Mypoints?

I just checked and it doesn't look to me like the points have increased but I don't look at very many options.

It also seems like they are having issues with their website. When I hit the "Show All" for the redemption options, the list was very short...maybe 12 items. But, when I actually chose a category, all of the regulars were there.

For example...I was looking at Landry Gift Cards for our next trip to eat at Yak & Yeti. When I hit the "Show All" button, the Landry's option was not listed. When I went back and hit the "Food and Drinks" category, the Landry option was there.

that is really weird! When I check for gift cards yesterday they had tons! I hope they're not updating them and making you need more points then you needed before!
Now there are only 16 to choose from!

I agree with PP I think there is something wrong with their website. When I click view all merchants only 12 show up and my favorite B&N is not there but when I click books and magazines it shows up. The points have gone up by 50 since I redeemed for one a couple weeks ago.

I am also seeing less redemption options than normal but the points needed all look the same to me. I looked at my usual cards I redeem for and they are all the same points as when I redeemed before.

I am wondering if people are cashing out early for the holidays because last year they were way behind in getting them out and people were on her complaining that they didn't get them in time for gift giving.

I looked a couple of times and things seem to appear and go away. I think prob website issues.....I am going to still do my thing. I am sure they will get it taken care of soon.

The stock does change from time to time. I've been doing mypoints for YEARS so I hope it isn't a bad sign and is just temporary. I click through my links every day and accumulate my points slowly and surely.

I always trade mine in for Rainforest Cafe and we use them at Disney. So far we've made 4 trips to Disney in 5 years and I've been able to pay for our meals each time through MyPoints...

OP here-This was my issue too. I only got around 20 merchants. Never happened to me before so I never thought of site issues. Hope that's all it is.

They are all there you just have to click on the categories instead of show all. They must be having technical difficulties. I just cashed out for 2 Bass Pro Shops for Christmas gifts.

Ok I'm not crazy. I thought the points value for some of the gift cards went up. Good to see I am not the only one who noticed.

I just cashed in for some cards last weekend, glad I made it before they ran out! I got a Bath & Body Works & Barnes & Noble card. They had everything on Saturday. I didn't think the points for those were too much higher, but did notice that some of the others were higher.
The wheel has been working fine for me, last week I got 100 points! I think that's the first time I've gotten more than 5 points in a long time!
