Wow! We Can Now View Our Loan Info on The Member Website....

I was just poking around on the DVC Member site & saw that we can now see our loan info & make additional payments!

There are also amaturization schedules & other useful info......They did a great job!

Thanks for the info...this is great. My only question to those who may have poked around the page.....how can you apply principle only payments? Its states that you can but I can only choose the monthly payment or the whole loan payoff.....plus 2 thru 6 months. Nowhere where is there a principle payment bix??? Any ideas

I'm so impressed by the way they keep enhancing this Web site. And allowing us to do some of these things for ourselves is saving the accounting and member services people some time, so everyone wins.

When I checked the site yesterday I was surprised to see the loans listed, but it was great. There is a place (link) on the loan page where a drop-down box appears to allow you to make additional prinicple payments. It requires a credit card for the payments and that didn't thrill me at first (don't need additional interest charges!!), but as I write this I'm thinking that you could also hook it up with a debit card.

Or put it on a rewards card you pay in full every month.... I'll be happy to make a buck or two more in Disney rewards every time I make a payment!

I'm very excited about this, much easier than calling member accounting to make those extra payments.

Yes, I saw the loan info. It looked like you could only pay off the entire loan though or your monthly payment.

I called MS today and got the address to send payments. I wonder if when you send extra payments if they automatically put that toward the principle or if you have to specify "principle only" on the payment??

For regularly scheduled payments that have already been made, does it show what portion went to interest and what portion went to principal? That would be helpful to me, as without that, I'm never exactly sure how much I still have left to pay.
