Wow VMK really is getting bad...: (

It seems that some players in VMK are really choosing to go down the bad path and make it hard to play anymore. I have witnessed more bad behavior in the past week than in all my playing days And today when I witnessed a player being mean to a girl in Fantasyland Courtyard (the girl was obviousley AFK) I told him not to use those words in vmk and that they were against VMK values. Well he promptly pushed the ignore button on me!! Anyways of course I was unable to talk AND I was not able to click on anyone else in the courtyard!! Is this how the ignore works as this has NEVER happened to me before...Anyways, I guess I am going to jump on that band wagon of people that are going to start reporting all the bad behaviors I see for now on I hope this is not how the whole summer is going to be like in VMK

I am sorry It is getting terrible now. It is not about disney anymore, and i am sad about that. Just today i was in a trade with a girl. This is how it went

Girl: hi
Me: howdy
Girl: i want all your trade magic
Me: Offer?
Girl: I will be your girl
Girl: i mean come on
Girl: Look at me
Me: gross

I wish i could have used a different course of language but i did not. People aren't joining because they love Disney parks. They want to be apart of a virtual relationship. It is disgusting. A while ago i was telling a guy and a girl that taken is wrong. The guy was implying that vmk was centered on taken.

I agree. It is the rudeness that I am amazed at as well as the other topics, which are against VMK values.

Yesterday, I was in Main Street offering clothing and generic pins for free and one girl was acting like I FORCED her to trade with me. I could not help but to laugh.

Conversation:
Me: Anybody want free?
Girl: Free wat?
Me: Stuff I do not want.
Girl: Why?
Me: Just don't want. Have too much.

So she hit trade and I accepted.

Girl: Wat?
Me: Clothing or pins?
Girl: Wat do you want?
Me: Nothing. I give for free. I have too much.
Girl: No, I mean wat you want? Why you be (explicit VMK term that I cannot put here) me?

I stopped trading.

She walked right up to my character face to face and said, "I report you."

Me: For what?
Girl: Not trade.
Me: I don't have to. You rude. I report you. (wink face) Bye!


And I was only trying to do something nice. WOW!!

Also, yesterday I got on the monorail to get my points and a girl was asking a boy to be her boy and take her to a school dance.

He responded that it was against VMK values.

She asked another boy.

He told her he would report her.

She put in a couple of pound signs and another word behind it...it was clear what she said. I hope somebody reported her.

Oh yikes, yes I'm seeing some very bad behavior myself lately. Of course, then again, bad behavior can sometimes be in the eye of the beholder...
In my room today a new girl asked me to give her something free. I said "I'm sorry, this is not a give away room". Out of no where this other girl comes up to me saying how mean I was, and that she's report me, blah blah blah. I promptly booted her. Funny thing is the new girl was fine with it and just hung out.

Anyway, as for the ignore issue, no, that's not how ignore works...sounds like you just froze up or had some real lag issues.

Ah you can always tell when schools start getting out for summer. Sadly this isn't the only game I will end up seeing the rude kids. I guess they figure its ok to act however and be worse once they are out of school. Those that act that way should be given something else to do with their time and shown how to act better. This is part of why I try to pick rooms no one is in when I have to go to them. This way I can avoid whatever isn't suppose to be part of the game.

That is not how ignore works. From what I can tell, you can't perceive whether anyone has you on their ignore list. You talk all you want. They simply don't see it.

You must have had some sort of crash, and the timing was just coincidental.

The worse is when you are trying to be nice and willing to give free and then the person starts wanting more and then when you don't give them more they say they are going to report you. That is just crazy!

LOL of course, only me but interestingly, after I asked him to stop, somebody pushed his ignore button, and when another girl told him that was against vmk values, I wanted to say "yes, ty!", but my words came up a solid color also, so I assumed this kid pushed my ignore button. So I started clicking on others in the courtyard and I could not. Just really bad lag, I guess...

They should actually ban people from saying things in the Pirates game and only allow them to say game words like 'gg' or 'gl'. While I know that this might be a little frustrating when telling someone to get the flag in CtF, it might be the only way to solving this problem. I dont see any bad sayings in Haunted Mansion at all, only gl and gg. Maybe this is because there is no time for that and theres nothing to get mad about, I mean, your only there to suck up spirits. But in Pirates, you can get mad mostly because in there you are using weapons (Cannons/Explosions) to possibly win the game, this maybe mistakened for hatred in the real world so it may give us a sense that we are being hated and being shot cannonballs at (only for people that feel like they are REALLY into the game). I do hope that Pirates will get better in the future because its my favorite game after all.

There are name calling and other bad things said in Haunted Mansion too, just not usually as severe as in Pirates, and definately not as often as in Pirates. Maybe because the score in Pirates is done so differently from Mansion. In catching ghosts, your score is mostly dependent on what you do, and then your team can help you to get a bonus if you win. However, in pirates, you can have your entire score taken away by the other team when they sink you, so it's more frustrating. Also, I've noticed a lot of people get upset when they are already sunk and their teammate(s) aren't playing the game like they would do it themselves. They talk about how rotten their team is, even though the rest of the team isn't the one that's sunk already!

People have been rude to me in Haunted Mansion too, but not nearly as much as the pirates game.

i hate hearing stories like these, some people on VMK just don't respect what they have. they don't have to be on VMK. and they shouldn't be on VMK when they are angry or just plain rude.
A while ago this girl came up to me in the Fantasyland in the Sky room. we were the only one's there and she asked if she could trade me. she looked kinda new but she had a name and some pins already. i traded her and she seemed nice at first. she wanted to see everything i was trading so i showed her. then all of a sudden she told me to give her all my rare or she would report me. i tried looking for a way out of this but the only thing i could think of was to try talking to her. i asked her to think about what she was doing and how wrong it was. she quickly came to her senses and appologized. she quit out of the trade and quickly ran out of the room. i guess she was afraid i would report her.
i wish more people would realize what they are doing on VMK and how they can influence others to misbehave.

I agree that VMK has some bad apples in it, but I have discovered that not paying attention to these "bad apples" really helps ease my pain. I used to rant and groan over certain controversial issues in VMK, but now that some others on here have opened my eyes, I have come to realize that I was simply being pessimistic.
