A lady from the Wilderness Lodge where we're staying in January just called me and asked if I had any ADR's I wanted to make. Do I? Do I ever!

I thought I had to wait until July 5th. She said by booking through the office I got a ten day lead.

Only the first 2 are guaranteed. They put the others on a wish list, will make them for me, and then send me an itinerary when they're done.

So here's the schedule:

Jan 1- Chef Mickey, 5:45
Jan 2- Boma, 4pm- want to do Downtown Disney after dinner
Jan 3- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, @5pm
Jan 4- Mama Melrose & Fantasmic, 4pm
Jan 5- Liberty Tree Tavern, @5pm
Jan 6- Artist Point, 6:30, adults only, kids to Cub's Den
Jan 7- Breakfast, @9:30 Crystal Palace

Were you able to call back and confirm this person was actually from Disney? I know a couple of your choices required a credit card to hold the place when we were there, and maybe I am new, but I haven't heard of anyone being called to get their reservations like this. Maybe I am just a paranoid person though.

Wow! I've never heard of anyone getting a personal phone call to make their dining ressies, or getting an adr itinerary before they check in.

Is this something select Disney resorts are starting? Was it through your specific travel agent? Sorry if I sound skeptical, but I've just never heard of this. I'd call the dining number and see if they have the adr's listed under your name.

The caller ID was Disney Contemporary and the phone number was the right area code. I actually thought they were calling with bad news that they'd overbooked or something.

That's a good idea.

We had similar service when we stayed concierge at Poly xmas 2005, but it was done via email. They were able to get our requests. Have not heard of this happening for regular stays.

I called Disney Dining today and the two reservations are there, plus the third one had been made.

I asked the lady about the character dining at LTT and she said that she had been informed today that there will be none as of 1/05/09. If you look at my schedule you'll see that that's the day we would like to book it. It's on the wish list now. Figures.

I could switch day 4 and day 5 but the problem with that is I didn't want to do Magic Kingdom on a Sunday, which is day 4, because of crowds.

I'd love to see Minnie- maybe we can see her somewhere else?

If you are not able to see Minnie at a dinner, there are plenty of places to see her around the parks, but i do believe she is typically at Chef Mickey's, so you might get to see her there.

OH, and yes, we are at Club level and that's why we got the service. It comes with the Deluxe room which I didn't realize. I guess there are certain advantages to having more kids!
