Wow! Tax refund came fast!

DH and I sent in our tax return via snail mail the last week of February. We got our $$ direct deposited into our account on Thursday!! That's less than 3 weeks from our mailbox to our bank account!

Now, it gets to sit in the savings account until car insurance is due in May (and the rest is for our summer vacation).

Our taxes were e-filed last Saturday (per our CPA) and we received our state refund check on Thursday.

Sometimes government isn't all bad.

My mom, a retired CPA, does our taxes. She is a huge technophobe, so won't get the internet on her computer. She does them, sends them to us, and we sign them and send them off to the IRS. I wish she would get a little more modern and e-file- but we still get our refund back pretty fast, even relying on snail mail.

I filed online and got our state back in three days and federal in five!!
