I went to Target today (Tuesday) to get some paper towels, and stoped by the Christmas section to see if there were some good stuff on clearance.

There seemed to be a good selection of boxed X-mas cards left, if you didn't mind digging through an un-organized mess. Tons of wraping paper, but not much left in the way of bows or ribon. Other than that, it was really hit and miss. No good ornimates left (at least ones I liked, anyway), and not much left for christmas trees. Paper products didn't have a great selection, all the dinner plates were gone (I got the last two packs, actually!). Most of the stocking holders were gone, I picked up some of the last. Not much for outdoor decorations beyond strings of lights, I got the one of two light-up snowmen to put in my window. Oh, tons of candy was left, I didn't buy any though, I've gained enough weight, thanks! One whole aisle was already empty.

In another day or two, it will be picked clean!

Usually I do well at Target once they hit 75% (I won't even look until it does). I did so well last year - it depends on the Target, I think - and how much they've sold. I hope there is something left in a couple of days! :)

We went in Walgreens today to pick up something for DH. I didn't plan to even go by until I saw the 75% off sign no the marquee, but I caved when I saw the blowup Mickey (the last one on the shelf) and the Tigger (display left only). I was even tempted by the last blowup SpongeBob, but decided to pass.

I tried to get the gentleman there to tell me when they'd mark down again, buy he was a cagey one. He wasn't giving out anything.

I just got home from Wal-Mart and they were getting picked over...I couldn't find 1 single pkg. of labels!!!!!! I picked up some bath pillows and back massagers for .48 each !

Didn't seem to me like stores around here had as much Christmas stuff out as last year even before Christmas, but when I went to K-Mart, Kohls and a couple Hallmark stores last night everything was VERY picked over and K-Mart only had the ugliest paper left...Hallmark had almost none. Kohl's had some but not nearly as much as last year and all their ornaments were GONE!

I hit our PX the 23rd and they had all of their Christmas 50% so I got a couple of decorations (an adorable snowman couple that sings "Baby it's cold outside, too cute). Then the 26th I hit Walmart for an oil change and they had TONS of stuff left. Everything was 50%, I got a bunch of gift wrap, hairbrushes, kids' bath sets, and some lights.

Today I hit Hallmark, they were only 40% but I bought the Mickey and Minnie ornament where they're watching tv because I was afraid they'd sell out, but that's it. Then I went to Target where everything was 50% and alot of toys were 30%. I got some gift tags, but that's it. I wasn't too thrilled with the 30% toys, hopefully those will go down lower, they had alot and there were a couple of large k'nex sets I'd like to get my kids for gifts next year.
