School closings for tomorrow are being listed on the noon news right now. I can't believe this cold. I've never seen anything like it. I feel terrible for people who have to work and be outside. Stay warm everyone!

Why didn't he have a hat on???? I had one on to brush off my car for the 3 minutes that took.

edited to add this: Apparently the boy and his family had recently moved from Brazil to Worcester, and had ABSOLUTELY no comprehension of weather this cold. The school principal is the one who sent him to the hospital. Poor thing.

Everyone be safe, and be smart about this stuff, OK? It's going to be dangerous cold tonight and tomorrow.

I just checked the list and our school is on it - wow! Won't DS9 be happy - and they also have Monday off for the holiday. Three more days - trapped in the house - with both kids - heeelllllllllllppppp!

We arent on there yet, but there are some pretty close ones so Im sure we will be there soon. Gee if I had known we were having a 4 day weekend, I would have planned to take off to WDW.

Oh it's not that bad-it was almost 0(not including wind chill!) today! LOL Yesterday morning it was -9(AGAIN not including wind chill) when I got up at 8:00!!! Tomorrow it's suppose to be -40 something with wind chill factor! I need to watch the Worcester news tonight to hear about that poor little boy. Wonder what school he goes to. I know if they didn't cancel school tomorrow I still wasn't going to send Ds.

I live in Western Mass. I just checked the local news site and all of our schools are closed tomorrow. I have never seen anything like this.

It's official, DS has no school tomorrow. Now the scramble begins to find somewhere to farm him out, since I cannot miss tomorrow, because I am on vacation next week.

No cancellation here, but school is delayed for 2 hours...DS doesn't have to go to school until 10 in the morning tomorrow! He is happy!

I just did the same thing Deb. Our company closed for 2 weeks at Christmas so I don't dare take any time off between now and vacation!

My DD has school tomorrow. They never close the NYC schools. It has to be something like 12 inches before the schools close here. The schools were open today, but I kept her home because it's too far to walk to school in all this snow and I stayed home from work. I'm sure my DD would love to go to Boston!
