I booked my first ever stay at Staybridge Suites Lake Buena Vista on the internet for an upcoming August trip, well today I got a call from Victoria who said she was just confirming my reservation, how much they were looking forward to my family staying with them for 11 nights, told me all about my room, the pool, the free breakfast, which floor I should request and just chatted with me for about 10 minutes, WOW is all I can say, that is customer service, sure makes me look forward to staying with them:goodvibes

Perhaps you can come back to tell us how you liked it after your stay :confused3
Thanks for posting, interested in your follow up.

We've stayed there twice and love the place and especially the location. It is on site with Cypress Pointe & Blue Tree - they all share the same planned community and it is great. An easy area to access and walk to whatever service you may need. Can't beat it.

We actually checked out the rooms at Staybridge while we were staying at Cypress Pointe! They looked good for a shorter stay for us, but still like the extra leg room of CP. Would def stay at the Staybridge if we were only doing a few days, or just us and not the kidlets! To bad you couldn't use the CP's pools at the same time!

We're staying at Staybridge Lake Buena Vista in a couple of weeks so this is encouraging. We usually stay on-site but with 20 yr old DD and 75-year-old DG'Ma we decided the two bedroom suite was a better deal.

We've stayed at the International Drive location and liked it a lot, so we're pretty sure we'll like this one too. I'll be sure to post a mini-review once we get back.

Should I be concerned that Victoria hasn't called me? ;) I did get a very prompt, welcoming email from someone else when I asked about the bus schedule so I am also impressed by the pre-check-in customer service.

Greenclan, if you don't mind me asking what do you mean that you like the extra leg room at cp? and that you would only do it if it was without the kids, am I missing something about the rooms, they are 750 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, how much more leg room will I need lol

Overall Cypress Pointe is a much nicer place, a full resort vs a hotel. The units are 2 or 3 bedroom and exceed 1600 sq feet. So if we're able and its available we're going to take CP over Staybridge. But Staybridge is extremely nice for a hotel, they do have 2 bed/ 2 bath and that breakfast included is very good. Plus they share the location which is outstanding. So as a fall back or short term stay Staybridge is on our short list for sure.

Wow, that's really good to hear. We are staying at Staybridge in June before we check into POP. We are really looking forward to having all that space and leg room after a long drive. Can't wait!!!:woohoo:

Thanks TotoToo, that is exactly what I would have said! Summed it up nicely!

oh I see what you mean about cp being a resort compared to Staybridge being a hotel, makes perfect sense, we normally stay onsite in a 340 square foot room for 2 weeks so 750 square feet will seem huge to us:rotfl: I did notice though at CP that the 2nd bedroom only has 2 single beds which doesn't help when you have 3 children, I like that staybride has 2 doubles so all the kids can sleep in the bedroom and we don't have to worry about anyone being on the sofa bed when us parents get up early, I'm hoping we like it.

By the way Greenclan67, we are neighbors, I am from Manitoba Canada:)

Hi, we are thinking of staying here (Staybridge Suites) for a future trip as it looks great and has the 2 bed/2bath which suits us but at the moment we are not planning to hire a car so wondering about their shuttle schedule and can't seem to find any information about it.
MHSweb79, did you get any information about this when you emailed them? How many times per day or what parks etc? Any info would be great!
Thank you..

I did get a schedule emailed to me (she emphasized that it was subject to change if Disney's park hours changed) and it looked pretty good. I think 3-4 buses before noon, at least for MK. We're renting a car but we expect two people in our party will want to sleep in a few days, and the schedule certainly makes it possible for them to join us a little later in the morning.

I've got the schedule at home so I can send you a PM or even post it here for the curious. It probably changes depending on your travel dates, so I'll send a pm with the woman's direct email address for you.

Yes that we are "neighbour" but we have about 2000 miles between us, being that I am in Northern Ontario. I have been to Manitoba numerous times though, on our journey to Thunder Bay to visit family we have sometimes carried on to Manitoba and we drove to Vancouver a few times as well!

That would be great if you could! Sorry I'm new to this forum so not sure if I did the 'Quote' correctly.

Here is the bus schedule sent to me (by the aforementioned Victoria!). It seems the tabs don't line up when I post but you should be able to get the gist.

Thats great information, thanks so much for posting it, it seems like a decent amount of transfers! A lot of properties I've looked at just run to the TTC or Epcot and needs to be pre-booked. I like the idea of just seeing what suits on any given day (without having to hire a car).
Thanks again :)

I just wanted to say, we have stayed at Staybridge Suites 3 times, and really like it. Having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths is great, as is having the kitchen. The location, right next to DTD, is great too. In fact, the only thing missing that would make it perfect would be a water slide in the pool. :)

We'll be there next week. I'll try to remember to post my review here as soon as I can.

We'll have a rental car but our party may want to split up a few mornings, so I'll let you know how the bus system worked out for us too.
